A Hunter Valley icon,. The 2023 Lake’s Folly Cabernets is an exquisite blend of cab sav, merlot, petit verdot and shiraz; crafted with precision, passion and an eye to the future. The nose is all florals and finesse - violets, mulberry and black olive, with a gentle lick of cedary oak. Medium-to-full-bodied, super rich and exquisitely structured, the palate is already singing like a blackbird. Black cherry, mulberry and savoury 'cabernet-y' notes are wrapped in fine French oak and pristine tannins, all gliding through to an impressively long finish. It’s classic Lake’s - elegant, complex and built to age with grace. If there was ever a vintage to stock your cellar with, this is it. Twenty years? Easy.
