Jericho’s vineyards are situated in Mclaren Vale’s subregion of Blewitt Springs which is comprised of sandy soils, giving their wines a unique elegance and lift. This shiraz is bursting with notes of brackish, black forest fruits, lashings of dark chocolate and a slatey core framed by elegant and subtle florals.

Why do we love this wine?
Passed down through generations of focussed and educated viticulture and oenology, Jericho Family Wines certainly do stick to the heart and core of traditional winemaking values. Gaining experience over the years with stints at Mollydooker, Maxwell and Brown Brothers, it’s safe to say this boutique producer has what it takes to make a super solid bottle of vino.

“The wine offers richness and sophistication, showing blackberry, sweet cherry, vanilla, baking spice, and cedar characters on the nose. The concentrated palate exhibits a plump mouthfeel and velvety texture, wonderfully framed by beautifully infused tannins, leading to a persistent, captivating finish. 95 Points." - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

I really like this Stone Patch Shiraz from Jericho. Those hypnotic aromas of raspberry coulis have me fixated. Red fruits reign supreme with some plums and mulberries. Dark chocolate, fennel and waves of soft spices cascade through the palate. A fine flicker of cola raises its hand along with some charred steak before that raspberry coulis lobs up once more to usher you out the door leaving a trail of spice to muse over. Really tidy stuff this. Go here. Drink to ten years+
