Why do we love this wine?
The combination of high altitude vineyards (after all, ‘Terra Alta’ literally means ‘high lands’) organic management and that beautiful and consistent Mediterranean climate makes for amazing growing conditions for grenache. Old and young vines make for complexity, picked at the right time to balance fruit and acidity. It’s on the darker, moodier side of the grenache spectrum, with well integrated tannin and a structure that will benefit from an hour in a decanter. When 90% of wines in Europe are drunk with food, with this wine’s power and freshness you will see why.
