The precision to which this wine comes together is something to gawk at, especially when you consider the fantastic producers who call this wine their own. There’s notable care taken to produce this wine from vine to bottle. Parcels are kept separate for quality control until they’re about to make it to bottling. Good ol’ foot-treading and basket pressing gives this wine rustic power from the extraction of all the morsels of goodness. There’s a light side from the floral bouquet, awash with notes of orange, mulberry, and redcurrant. But then the palate delivers the power and ageing potential that you really crave- one of those moments you can savour forever. Or, at least until the bottle’s gone.
