Why do we love this wine?
The nose gives an impression of tension married to concentration - violet, raspberry, redcurrant and blackcurrant backed by gentle char, cedar and spice. Complex, layered and seriously impressive aromatics. The palate is intense, structured, even and long - the whole thing is built on very good, pure cabernet fruit. A touch of spicy zing and fine, slightly chalky tannins round everything out beautifully. There's vibrancy and floral notes adding freshness throughout, keeping it lively despite the concentration. This is a distinctive, complex and utterly captivating cabernet sauvignon that shows what old vines and smart winemaking can achieve. Fantastic wine that punches well above its weight.
