At the southern end of the Barossa near Mount Crawford sits a 150-year-old property marked by two grand stone pillars - Grant Burge's Corryton Park. It's planted on some of the highest, coolest ground in the region, exactly the kind of site serious Cabernet needs to build real finesse. This shows us what great fruit turns into over a decade. Unbelievable.

Why do we love this wine?
Vibrant violet with a ruby red hue. Cassis, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf with a hint of graphite lead on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, with a plush, juicy mid-palate of blackcurrant, cedar and basil, held together by a tannin-rich, savoury exterior with a persistent, lingering finish. A wonderful Barossa expression. This one blends fruit from the home vineyard with select parcels off the Barossa floor. The 2017 vintage saw cool, wet conditions during summer, resulting in a very late vintage, with warm, mild conditions through March and April allowing the fruit to attain excellent flavour ripeness while maintaining good levels of natural acidity. Small batches, picked and fermented separately to let each patch of vines show its character, with some parcels left on skins for up to 30 days to build richness and soften the tannins. Eighteen months in French oak hogsheads finished the job.
