Why do we love this wine?
A richly textured and full-bodied wine designed to drink beautifully in its youth but has the structure and fruit concentration to age for a further 10 years. Pure black and red fruit, vibrant acidic structure and pillowy, fine-grained tannins; all this coupled with a healthy maturation in brand new American oak barrels create a chocolatey, silky and wholly mouth-filling wine. Throw in a few years of age and you've got a well-integrated, classically Barossa shiraz with a long life ahead of it. Drinking now? Decant for 30 minutes for best results!

A museum release from the Greenock vineyard, it is from another superb vintage for the region. Ageing was for two years in 100% American oak hogsheads, all new. Under cork.Deep maroon, this is just starting to show a little lightening on the edges. We have notes of cold tea, blackberries, mocha, aniseed and chocolate. There is a supple and sweet core of black cherries on the palate and serious length. The wine is finely balanced and with silky tannins and impressive length. Lots to love here and it should remain that way for the next ten to fifteen years.
