Why do we love this wine?
In the glass it's almost black, completely opaque, with a dark red edge hinting at how much flavour is packed in. Raspberry and cranberry greet the nose gently, joined by dried herbs, bay leaf and a hint of undergrowth, before darker fruit takes over - aniseed, black cherry, trailed by smoked meat, fennel and spice. The palate keeps that black cherry core going, layered with tomato leaf, smoky cedar and a distinctly herbaceous, peppery edge.
