Real Burgundy at a price that actually works. Yes, they still exist. And yes, this is one of the best examples. This is the pinot you open on a Tuesday because life's too short for bad wine - and too short to save the good stuff only for special occasions.

Why do we love this wine?
Marillier are a family domaine doing things properly - traditional and biodynamic farming, old vines on limestone-rich slopes, French oak ageing and a genuine commitment to quality that shows in every glass. The Clos Saint Germain fruit is exactly what good village-level Burgundy should be: bright, fragrant and completely honest about where it comes from. Ruby red in the glass, with a nose of red cherry, strawberry and spice, and a whisper of earthy mushroom complexity that gives it a depth well beyond its price tag. The palate is light-bodied and elegant, with medium tannins, a lively freshness and a finish that lingers with a classical Burgundian restraint that's genuinely hard to resist.
