Burgundy with character, charm and zero pretence. Exactly how we like it. Côte Chalonnaise (where the majority of this fruit originates) tends to create brighter and somewhat more generous pinot noir than some other parts of Burgundy. This isn't to say that the wine is lacking in complexity, quite the opposite in fact, it's just one of those rare Burgundies that can be enjoyed - truly enjoyed - from a young age.

Why do we love this wine?
Mostly grown in the Côte Chalonnaise, where warm days, cool nights and dry autumns get pinot exactly where it needs to be, this one lands in the glass a bright garnet with that classic ruby core. Stick your nose in and you get the real deal: earthy vibes, a bit of mushroom, that damp-soil thing Burgundy nuts go wild for, with a flick of red fruit lifting it up. On the palate it leans deeper - blackberry, blackcurrant, a whisper of black liquorice and some cosy baking spice threading it all together. Tannins and acidity sit right in the pocket, giving you structure without stealing the joy. This will happily age for 10+ years, but if you like Burgundy, and you can't be bothered waiting - this is exactly what you're looking for.
