‘Reine de Nuit’ translates to Queen of the Night, referencing the practice of harvesting the grapes for this wine in the cool of the evening. The resulting wine is brightly acidic, maintaining freshness and fruit pruity throughout.

Why do we love this wine?
The 40 year old vines offer up fruit that displays freshness on the nose in the form of redcurrants and raspberry, leading to a smooth and generous palate. The Anita wines are all marked by fruit concentration and depth, but perhaps none more so than the Reine de Nuit. Thoroughly good wine.

This rich and velvety, mouth-filling Moulin-a-Vent has a gracefulness and lightness of touch that takes your breath away. Stacks of black fruit aromas, but not a jot loud. Extremely long, structured finish that somehow manages to be totally engaging, almost charming. From the Aux Caves site, which is south-facing and has a sandy granitic soil. This is 100% whole cluster. Matured in used oak barrels from Burgundy for just under a year.
