Why do we love this wine?
Around five years in the bottle and this wine has found exactly where it wants to be. Dark, brooding and loaded with character - blackberry, dark cherry and cedary oak on the nose, with chocolate and warming spice woven through in a way that keeps revealing something new the longer you sit with it. The palate is rich and generous, with a mid-palate fullness that coats the mouth beautifully and a finish that carries on long after you'd expect it to stop. This is McLaren Vale Shiraz doing what McLaren Vale Shiraz was put on this earth to do. And from a family who've been doing it better than most for a very long time.
