Why do we love this wine?
Impossible to overstate the excellence on offer here. This is superb stuff. There is so much complexity and depth to the wine, something new is ready to reveal itself with every sip. Cassis and black cherry out of the gate. Some riper, richer plums and brambles mix with roasted vegetables and sweet spice. It's powerful but never overbearing, full and rich but precise and focused - everything is as it should be. A wine with genuine presence on the palate. Oomph that doesn't veer into being unctuous. The structure of the wine will ensure it is long lived; while drinking brilliantly now, this is a wine with a conservative two decades left in the tank.
