Why do we love this wine?

This 2011 is hitting its absolute sweet spot right now. After more than a decade of careful aging, it's medium-to-full-bodied with impressive purity and length - this is a wine that's absolutely "strutting its stuff." The story behind the bottle is equally compelling. Since 1889, the Faure family transformed this estate into a Saint-Émilion flagship through constant innovation and meticulous terroir work. Today, the tradition of excellence continues on 13.5 hectares of precious clay-limestone slopes. The blend - 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon - spent 18-24 months in carefully selected oak (40% new, 30% one-year-old barrels). Elegant, fresh and persistent, with supple tannins and evolved aromatics that have rewarded patience.
