Why do we love this wine?
Strong blackcurrant on the nose, with tobacco, black olive, mushroom and freshly turned earth adding a savoury depth that builds beautifully in the glass. Nineteen months in French oak has done its job seamlessly - adding richness and structure without ever getting in the way of the fruit. The palate is rich and focused, with chocolate, cassis and fine dusty tannins carrying everything through to a long, poised finish. Delicious right now. Built for at least two decades of development. You literally cannot go wrong with this wine.
