Why do we love this wine?
51 consecutive vintages from the same single vineyard, one with a long-standing reputation for producing some of the country's most premium Cabernet. Medium-weight but seriously potent, svelte rather than heavy, with tannins that carry real authority while staying succulent and refreshing. Plum and blackcurrant sit at the core, running alongside woody spice, new leather, mahogany-toned oak and a scattering of wild herbs, mint included. There's a liveliness to it too, bright and energetic from the first sniff through to the perfectly-weighted palate, with powdery tannins and super fine-grained oak.
