A dense, gutsy, fruit-driven wine with prominent oak and dusty, lingering tannins. 8 years aging has brought a roundness to the wine whilst leaving the fruit virtually untouched. Dangerously drinkable right now but chuck a couple in the cellar too, just in case.

Why do we love this wine?
Classic Coonawarra - cassis, blackcurrant and dark plums rule the fruit profile whilst the regional characters of eucalypt and allspice pick up the slack. As soon as this wine hits the glass, it's unmistakably Coonawarra, unashamedly bold and unsurprisingly vibrant. 18 months in a mix of French and American barrels brings a complexity to the oak profile and fullness that will leave this wine in seriously good nick for as long your patience lasts.
