Even though we love all our white wines equally, there's always the favourites that get pulled out in the office time and time again. So, we thought we'd share what we're drinking, just in time for spring.

Why do we love this case?
This is a slam-dunk of a pack. Something for everyone, and everyone will want a bit of something. From the textural, rich notes of chardonnay to the fun and funky roussanne, all the way over to fierce, fresh realm of grüner- here's a selection of six wines that we're all drinking at the 'Fo. Dig in, we only just managed to save enough to put into a mix, and we might just beat you to 'em.
1x St Johns Brook Reserve Chardonnay 2020
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
Rich and broad in the mouth, with energetic acidity really bringing the wine to life. Vanilla, pastry, some fresh cream, and anise - there are many layers to this wine, each of them delicious and perfectly deployed. A wine in absolute harmony. I love this wine for its ability to play in two worlds - dually mineral and piercing while maintaining that classic Margaret River generosity, at once approachable and yet still complex and multi-faceted. But that's what good wine does; impresses you on every level.

1x Auld Family Wines Wilberforce Riesling 2022
White — Riesling
Eden Valley — Australia
Oh, the purity! We know riesling is a pretty honest grape, but this one has more integrity than you can poke a stick at. How did we get here? Well, the producer took the fruit from the cooler southern end of the Eden Valley and harvested it in the evening, allowing for grapes with perfect ripeness and no stress from excessive heat. This leads to balance, purity and intensity in a finished wine. There are floral notes on the nose, a chalky and minerally texture on the palate and flavours of lime and mandarin, leading to bright acidity on the finish. This is quintessential Eden rizza, refreshing and vibrant, only weighed down by the bling of reviews.

1x Yelland & Papps Second Take Roussanne 2021
White — Roussanne
Barossa Valley — Australia
We're huge fans of Yelland & Papps, not only for their wines, but for the fantastic duo Susan and Michael who run the show. They're big fans of Rhône styles, that's no secret. So it would come as no surprise that their whites are as textural and interesting as they come. Don't be afraid of the colour, a little time on the grape skins will do that. The result is a wine that is fleshy, broad, a little bit citrus-pithy, and completely delicious.

1x Brightwater Lord Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc 2022
White — Sauvignon Blanc
Nelson — New Zealand
This Nelson sauvignon blanc from Brightwater exudes class and pedigree. Grapefruit, lime zest and perfumed notes of jasmine combine for an impressively elegant drop. We’ve been working with Brightwater for a few vintages and they always deliver the goods, so much so that our mofos always come knocking when we can’t deliver. Everyone wants to hang out with Brightwater, especially those oysters and fish ‘n chippies!

1x Sea Glass Chardonnay 2020
White — Chardonnay
Mornington Peninsula — Australia
This is a magical Mornington chardy from a winemaking sorcerer. It’s got ballerina-like poise and sublime balance. It’s medium bodied, with a nice fresh acidity that gives drive and direction.
Peaches, apples and nectarines sit nicely along a flinty streak and a slight smokiness. The finish is nutty, with a nice fleshy back palate that keeps you intrigued right to the very end. Great wine, and it’ll only get better over the next few years. Grab a case for now and a case for future-you.
You’d pay $50 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x KIN Adelaide Hills Gruner Veltliner 2022
White — Gruner Veltliner
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Well, we just adore Gruner Veltliner. And we adore the Adelaide Hills. And we adore KIN winemaker, Bec Dugmore. So, it’s only fitting that we absolutely adore this wine. Plucked from the Shining Rock Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills (planted by Brian Croser in the early noughties), this is a wine that is all about freshness and longevity. It’s a little spicy, as you can often expect with any good glass of grüner, while carrying a depth of layers from citrus to apple to pear. It’s an all round pleaser that is sure to carry you whether it be a weeknight drinker or a weekend thinker.
You’d pay $32 full price.
