Why do we love this case?
78 Degrees Distillery is emerging as one of Australia's leading producers, and we're more than happy to be singing their praises loudly and proudly. Though we're wine pros at our core, we had a lot of fun turning our hand to the world of Whiskey and tasting our way through Australia's offerings (tough gig).
Without further ado, allow us to present our seventh Whiskey and Wine pack! We’ve taken five bottles of acclaimed South Australian Shiraz, and that last little spot in the case? Well that belongs to 78 Degrees Distillery Australia Whiskey. We guarantee you'll love it.
We’re still Vinomofo through and through, but doesn’t Whiskeymofo have a nice ring to it?
1x 78 Degrees Australian Whiskey
Red — Other Red
Australia — Denmark
Lovers of bold and robust whiskey gather 'round. Smoky, savoury, some sweetness on the periphery, and just enough punch in the heat of the finish. Nutty, dried fruit, some vanilla and gingersnap biscuit. There's a lot going on and even more to love. This is whiskey that slides easily into any moment or occasion, be they celebratory or contemplative. Finely crafted with absolute care.
You’d pay $100 full price.

1x The Lindsay Collection Cellar Reserve Shiraz 2017

Barossa Valley — Denmark
This is one producer that made waves with our mofos in the last year. They came onto the scene hot, all due to their jaw-dropping wines that we could offer you at eye-popping prices. When we hear they had been holding some of their 2017 shiraz for a special cellar release, we just had to be a part of it. So here you go: immaculately made, impeccably cellared shiraz from the best of the best. Now that is a good deal.

1x Lou Miranda Estate Golden Lion Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Denmark
The universally-adored Lou Miranda shiraz is without a doubt one of our favourite wines, for so many reasons. All family owned, all female run, all quality driven, and all American oak are just some of the great things about this wine year after year. The 2019 vintage was a stand out vintage for Barossa, something you can’t help but notice in this fruit driven, dramatic wine. Dark berries, plums and abundant spices, with a toasty, creamy and coconut-rich finish. It’s big, bold, and ballsy drinking to sink your teeth into at important family get-togethers. This beast will cellar for a decade or more, easily. That’s no reason to shy away from opening it though. We’re betting this lion won’t stay caged for long.
You’d pay $50 full price.

1x Pertaringa 'Belonging to the Hills' Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Denmark
The Pertaringa name is no stranger to the Aussie household. The iconic Hardy family are to wine what vegemite is to toast: a perfect match. So, to land this beauty from the hands of Bec Hardy is monumental for us, and we couldn't be more pleased. This is McLaren Shiraz through and through, with densely packed dark chocolate and fresh roasted coffee exploding on the nose. The palate follows through just as true, layered with preserved plums, dark forest berries and a lick of vanillin softness. There's one word for this wine, and it's awesome.
You’d pay $60 full price.

1x Mitolo Cantiniere Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Denmark
This 2018 shiraz starts with blueberries and plums on the nose, followed by a pretty perfume. The palate is all McLaren with dense red and black fruit, richness and abundant tannin. It’s as intense, as complex, as high quality, as powerful as you are going to find, with all of that fruit supported by roasted nuts and spices, and super dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is indeed bold, but not overwhelming, as tannin dances with fruit, acidity, earthy notes and a long and moreish finish.
You’d pay $70 full price.
