Why do we love this case?
We love it when the critics agree (and all of these wines have received top marks from the worlds best wine minds), but the real proof is in the broader crowd reception. Vivino allows us to gather the thoughts of the drinking many, rather than the critical few. And the consensus is well and truly in on this one: the people love it.
1x Di Fabio Bushvine Reserve Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Wow, what a wine. A must-have for any McLaren Vale die-hards or pretty much anyone with a mouth and a heart. Rich dark fruit, chocolatey oak and fine-grained tannins. A classic Aussie style with 8+ years under the belt, primed and raring to go. A dense, dark fruited wine that, although full-bodied, doesn't feel sluggish or clunky on the palate. Lively and rich blackberries and dark cherries are balanced by milk chocolate and sweet spice, a result of a very comprehensive oak treatment regime. This is a wine that was drinking beautifully five years ago, drinks beautifully today and will still be drinking beautifully in five years time. If you're a McLaren Vale fan, do yourself a favour.

1x Sorby Adams Reverend Canon Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
There's a reason this has become THE Mofo fave Barossa shiraz: it’s powerful, opulent and complex. It's ripe, rich and raring to go. This is completely astounding value, Mofo. This is the style of shiraz that made the world take notice of this ripper region. Simon 'Sorby' Adams is the master craftsman behind this wine (can you say, ex-head winemaker at Yalumba?), so it's no surprise that this is a seriously high calibre wine. Rich expressions of blackberry, plum, chocolate, spices and cedar from the use of 30% new French oak. After four years cellaring time, it’s drinking beautifully now, but has another decade of prime left in it for those patient types. This one is a bestseller for a reason, we invite you to find out for yourself.

1x Auld Family Wines 'The Ernie' Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
96 points and a 4.2 Vivino Rating are absolutely nothing to shake a stick at. All the hallmarks of classic Barossa shiraz are right here. Generous, bold and packed full of flavour, we're unbelievably stoked with how this vintage is drinking (already)!
The Barossa Valley is home to quite a few multi-generational wine families. There are legacies as far as the eye can see, stretching across the Barossa plains and rooted as deep as the oldest vineyards. The Aulds are one such family, with the current generation Sam and Jock paying tribute to their lineage who were planting Australian vineyards in the mid 1800's. Each sip tells a story of sun-soaked vineyards, family traditions, and a relentless pursuit of quality. After the first taste of Ernie shiraz you won't be looking back.

1x Pertaringa 'Belonging to the Hills' Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
The Pertaringa name is no stranger to the Aussie household. The iconic Hardy family are to wine what vegemite is to toast: a perfect match. So, to land this beauty from the hands of Bec Hardy is monumental for us, and we couldn't be more pleased. This is McLaren Shiraz through and through, with densely packed dark chocolate and fresh roasted coffee exploding on the nose. The palate follows through just as true, layered with preserved plums, dark forest berries and a lick of vanillin softness. There's one word for this wine, and it's awesome.

1x Craneford Basket Pressed Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Craneford produce spectacular wines. There's no denying that. This is quintessential Barossa shiraz - a whole lot of Barossa legends are involved with this wonderfully expressive drop right the way from vine to bottle and the experience shows. Beautifully done. This wine is a stunning showcase of Barossa shiraz, crafted for pure enjoyment. The fruit is carefully sourced from highly-regarded Barossa vineyards, thanks to the winemakers' deep connections with growers of exceptional quality. That remarkable fruit delivers the wine’s purity, power, and drive. 1x Pirramimma Heritage Limited Edition Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This wine needs no introduction. The much awaited 2022 vintage of this absolute mofo fave. We’re talking about a bold, powerful, smooth red wine that's flown out the door almost as quickly as it comes in. If you don’t know by now, we think it’s time for you to loop yourself in. This Limited Edition shiraz comes from the best rows of their famous “War Horse” and “Ironstone” blocks. The vines are old and what they lack in quantity (yield), they make up for in superb quality. Full bodied, but balanced with pepper and spice, there are just so many layers to discover in this wine. Laden with luscious, ripe blackberries, earthy blackcurrants, mocha, hints of cedar and a dollop of liquorice, you’re in for a treat with this divine, velvety red.
