Why do we love this case?
We love it when the critics agree (and all of these wines have received top marks from the worlds best wine minds), but the real proof is in the broader crowd reception. Vivino allows us to gather the thoughts of the drinking many, rather than the critical few. And the consensus is well and truly in on this one: the people love it.

2x Brothers At War Pendee Farm Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
This isn’t our first rodeo with this particular house of Barossa legends. In fact, it's not even the first time we've cleared out a whole vintage from them because we've loved the wine so much. The Pendee Farm is a special cuvée, an homage to the old planted vineyards that represent quintessential Barossa. It’s hard working, relentlessly giving, and concentrates all its goodness in small, powerful doses. If you’re like us, you can taste Barossa shiraz when you hear it mentioned, but this is not like the rest. Begging to be drunk and enjoyed now or for a number of years to come.
You’d pay $50 full price.

2x Z Wines Hedley Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
We have a lot to say about this wine, but nothing will quite compare to getting it in your glass and going for the first sip. You know how they say less is more? We’re just going to say it simply: there’s nothing you won’t love here.
Deep purple colour and even deeper flavour. The oak isn’t the commanding element, but it has a presence that cannot be ignored. You will never go wrong with a glass of shiraz like this. We will warn you, this wine comes with a side-effect - smugness. You won't be able to help yourself from gloating to all who share a glass about how cheap you got it for. Other than that, get stuck in, this is good gear.
You’d pay $35 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Bethany Wines First Village Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
This is Barossa in a bottle. Big, dark, oaky, spiced BUT, here's the best part, elegant smooth, silky, even pretty. A wine for shiraz drinkers of any style - this one's got you covered. In part, the fruit is taken from old vines in the Barossa planted back in the 1850’s and tended by the same family for the last 40 years. I’d say they know what they are doing at this stage. This is pure Barossa, but with an attractive approachability in youth. If you want to lay it down for 10+ years, go for it. But if you’re the impatient sort, you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful drop from the get go. It features red and blue fruits, fine tannins and a deep colour. We don’t need to overthink it here. If you love shiraz, from anywhere in the world, you’ll love this.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine- and we're speaking from experience.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Dead Letter Office Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Padthaway — Australia
Padthaway is known for creating wines that are genuinely a pleasure to drink, that's pretty much the perfect description of the Dead Letter Office. A true crowd-pleaser, this unmistakably Australian expression of shiraz has everything you'd expect from a producer of this quality. Full bodied, full flavoured with peppery notes, dark fruits and a roundness brought about by 15 months in 100% French oak barrels - this is a wine for sharing, and sharing confidently. A real people pleaser.
You’d pay $26 full price.
