2x Lambert Estate Mustang Sally Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Juicy, polished Barossa Shiraz that hits the sweet spot between richness and drinkability. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser from first pour to last. A bright, modern Barossa expression that balances generosity with real polish. It opens with juicy plum, blackberry and a lift of sweet spice, then settles into a smooth, mouth-filling palate that still keeps some freshness in the tank. There’s enough Barossa richness to satisfy the big-red crowd, but it avoids heaviness thanks to clean fruit and smart, understated oak. The finish is silky, warming and seriously moreish. It’s the kind of Shiraz you pour for anyone and know they’ll be happy.

2x Mazi Minnie's Blend Chilled Red
Red — Grenache Blend
McLaren Vale — Australia
Here's something a bit different - a delicate yet full-flavoured light dry red made from the exact same grapes that go into those gorgeous rosés you love. Think of it as rosé's cooler, more sophisticated older sibling. They've grabbed the most concentrated bits of rosé juice and left it chilling on skins for roughly 48 hours before pressing it off. Then comes partial barrel fermentation and about six months lounging in old French oak casks, just enough time to add texture without going too heavy-handed with the wood. What you end up with is a tight yet beautifully rounded palate absolutely loaded with everything that makes McLaren Vale grenache, mataro and cinsault so bloody good. Asian spice, red cherry, cranberry, musk and violet all showing up to the party - this is a wine for all seasons.

2x Pauletts Clare Valley Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Clare Valley — Australia
Pauletts have been doing this in the Clare Valley for decades. And this shiraz is exactly why they keep getting invited back to every wine show they've ever even walked past. Rich, generous and completely inviting - dark plum, blackberry, cocoa and mocha on the nose, with liquorice, aniseed and a warm kitchen spice character woven through a fleshy, supple palate. The tannins are fine and perfectly weighted, and the finish is long, balanced and just a little bit addictive. Clare Valley shiraz doing what Clare Valley shiraz does best. At a price that makes grabbing more than one bottle the obvious move.

2x Reschke Bull Trader Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Hurry up cab friends; the clock is ticking with little time to pinch this wine while stocks last. From the best-known region for Aussie cabernet - Coonawarra, South Australia’s nailing the brief here for iron earth woven like a tapestry through cassis-ripe flavours. Simply stunning. Hold the phone, this always scores high points - with a previous 2018 vintage scoring 98 points from Wine State. That’s an insane score; this vineyard is magical! Full-bodied, quite rich, silky texture and full of dark fruits indicative of the variety. There’s a bit of spice from French oak as well. We are confident this will fly as fast as it arrives, so snatch some up while you still can.

2x Peter Lehmann Layers Red 2021
Red — Shiraz Blend
Barossa — Australia
This bombshell Barossa blend comes from a producer so iconic we’re shocked they even had any stock for us - and trust us, that alone should get your heart rate up. A cheeky, yet well thought out shiraz blend, this one's all about bold flavours and a silky-smooth texture. Great stuff. In the glass it pops a vibrant crimson - extremely bright and alive. From the first sniff, you start picking up dark cherry, spice and a little something savoury that tells you this isn’t your average mid-week red. Shiraz brings the power and depth, tempranillo locks in that firm, savoury edge, and mourvèdre throws in its trademark wild, earthy charm. Then grenache swoops in like the glue that holds the whole thing together, smoothing the palate and lifting the aromatics. The end result is a silky, seamless blend with real Barossa muscle but none of the sluggishness. Plush fruit, spice, texture and length for days.
