This one came about because we couldn't decide which Sorby Adams case to buy - "if only there was a mixed case that captured the essence of Barossa in the way that only Simon Sorby Adams can", someone yelled, and this unbelievable Upgrade Case was born.

Why do we love this case?
We all know the expression about dangling a carrot in front of someone. But what if this entire case of wine is ‘carrots’ so to speak? You’ll get 4 bottles of the Reverend Canon Shiraz 2021, 4 bottles of The Parish Hall St Hugh's Shiraz 2021, 3 bottles of The Parish Hall St Boniface Shiraz 2021 - probably enough reason in itself to grab a case. But why stop there? We’ve added the ultimate carrot, a bottle of their lauded 'The Vicar of Toft Shiraz 2021', which is nothing short of a showstopper. All carrots, no sticks...that’s how we roll.
1x Sorby Adams The Vicar of Toft Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Aged for 36 months in 50% new French oak - there's no denying it, this is a big boy. That said, we're talking about Sorby Adams here, there's more to this wine than super-premium oak treatment. There's an opulence and generosity to this wine that takes it to the next level and would see this one live for 15+ years in the cellar - easy. This is pure Barossa power, an unapologetically bold shiraz from the northern grounds of the region, where the fruit grows darker, richer, and more intense. It opens with a heady mix of ripe black fruits, spiced plum and dark chocolate. As the wine opens up, it's all about concentration: blackcurrant, cocoa and vanilla stacked on top of exotic spice and firm, muscular tannins.

4x Sorby Adams Reverend Canon Shiraz 2021

There's a reason this has become THE Mofo fave Barossa shiraz: it’s powerful, opulent and complex. It's ripe, rich and raring to go. This is completely astounding value, Mofo. This is the style of shiraz that made the world take notice of this ripper region. Simon 'Sorby' Adams is the master craftsman behind this wine (can you say, ex-head winemaker at Yalumba?), so it's no surprise that this is a seriously high calibre wine. Rich expressions of blackberry, plum, chocolate, spices and cedar from the use of 30% new French oak. After four years cellaring time, it’s drinking beautifully now, but has another decade of prime left in it for those patient types. This one is a bestseller for a reason, we invite you to find out for yourself.

4x Sorby Adams The Parish Hall St Hugh's Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Known for producing some of the country's finest Shiraz (read: Hill of Grace), the Eden Valley is an incredible source of premium shiraz. The vineyards there seem to bear fruit worthy of royal status, it almost feels too good to drink. This premo shiraz shows immense complexity, with a nose of pomegranate and cherry molasses, black pepper and rip plums. The palate is silky smooth, rich and balanced with classic Eden acidity that keeps it all fresh and delightfully playful. This is a lot of shiraz, and a steal at the price.
You’d pay $60 full price.
