1x Hewitson Cask 66 Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
The Boss
From one of our favourite Barossa producers, who have brought us multiple 98 and 99 pointed drops before, comes this incredible special release shiraz that will continue to improve for the next 20 years. Careful maturation in specially selected highest-grade French oak, followed by barrel selection of the finest juice, has helped craft this unparalleled expression of the country's top grape/region combination. Compellingly complex, the nose shows rich, ripe plums and bramble fruit with black cherries. Supporting is an excellent intermingling of charcuterie, black olives, cocoa and liquorice. The palate is simultaneously refined and powerful, with beautifully ripe tannins and a clean line of acidity supporting an incredibly long finish. This is premium Barossa at it's absolute best.

1x Amelia Park Ironstone Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Frankland River — Australia
This wine is, without doubt, one of the most popular we’ve ever seen at Vinomofo. How popular is popular, you ask? Well, thirsty Mofos took over 45,000 bottles of a previous vintage straight out of our hands. Yup. We know it’s a great wine deal but when our mofo members are this unanimous in their desire for this drop; well it’s simply cause for one big shiraz gluggin’ celebration. Full bodied and silky smooth with lashings of plums and earthy spice; if you’re quaffing this Frankland River gem on a week night, know you’re in good company alongside many a Mofo. With one fist in the air (and the other holding a glass of this wine) we salute you!

2x Watkins Cellar Reserve Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Langhorne Creek — Australia
This producer might be a new name to some, but their time in the industry goes way back. As evidenced by this cellar selection, they’ve honed the art of crafting wines that stand the test of time. This is an all-family affair, with the new generation stepping in to take the reigns. They’re finally releasing some beauties from their back vintages, and we were quick to jump in and bring our mofos that aged goodness. Cabernet off their currency creek vineyards gave this wine the confidence to see it through the last 6 years, with more still to come. This is the kind of wine that greets you like an old friend. Instantly familiar and merry, sure to entertain you for hours.

2x Lambert Estate Mustang Sally Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Juicy, polished Barossa Shiraz that hits the sweet spot between richness and drinkability. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser from first pour to last. A bright, modern Barossa expression that balances generosity with real polish. It opens with juicy plum, blackberry and a lift of sweet spice, then settles into a smooth, mouth-filling palate that still keeps some freshness in the tank. There’s enough Barossa richness to satisfy the big-red crowd, but it avoids heaviness thanks to clean fruit and smart, understated oak. The finish is silky, warming and seriously moreish. It’s the kind of Shiraz you pour for anyone and know they’ll be happy.

Tasting Notes
2x Peter Lehmann Layers Red 2021
Red — Shiraz Blend
Barossa — Australia
This bombshell Barossa blend comes from a producer so iconic we’re shocked they even had any stock for us - and trust us, that alone should get your heart rate up. A cheeky, yet well thought out shiraz blend, this one's all about bold flavours and a silky-smooth texture. Great stuff. In the glass it pops a vibrant crimson - extremely bright and alive. From the first sniff, you start picking up dark cherry, spice and a little something savoury that tells you this isn’t your average mid-week red. Shiraz brings the power and depth, tempranillo locks in that firm, savoury edge, and mourvèdre throws in its trademark wild, earthy charm. Then grenache swoops in like the glue that holds the whole thing together, smoothing the palate and lifting the aromatics. The end result is a silky, seamless blend with real Barossa muscle but none of the sluggishness. Plush fruit, spice, texture and length for days.

2x Thistledown Wild & Wilder Shiraz Cabernet 2022
Red — Shiraz Blend
South Australia — Australia
This producer has never been the shy type, and this latest shiraz cabernet proves they're still up to no good - in the best possible way. Elegant, refined, but with that cheeky glint in the eye that says one more glass won’t hurt. It’s 90% shiraz swagger and 10% cabernet backbone - the perfect combo of lush black fruit, silky spice, and that little hit of cassis that keeps things interesting. Think rich berries, a hint of liquorice, a good lick of wood spice, and a finish smoother than a BB King solo.
You’d pay $20 full price.
