Why do we love this case?
Big names, bold flavour, and a price that doesn’t quite make sense. The Six Shiraz, $99 case brings together a lineup of seriously good Australian Shiraz — from the depth and structure of Craneford Marananga and the aged complexity of The Lindsay Collection, to the rich, full-flavoured styles of Fox Creek, Lou Miranda, Ivyburn and Welland Wines.
With RRPs stacking up well north of the case price, this is the kind of deal Shiraz lovers wait for. Expect plush dark fruit, spice, smooth tannins and plenty of personality across the lineup.
Six bottles. Ninety-nine bucks. No brainer.
1x Craneford No 1. Marananga Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
22 months in 20% new oak is the first thing you need to know about this beautiful beast. A rich, concentrated and complex whirl of dark chocolate, black fruits and cedar. The tannins are plush and juicy but silky on the finish. As we said above, this is truly a wine for those that yearn for the Barossa shiraz of old. Drink it with a knife and fork, pour it on your steak - all those clichés. It's unreal. We tried cellaring this one at home but quickly learnt something strange... this wine's like's a mozzie bite, the more you tell yourself not to touch it, not to think about it, the harder it gets because it's just heaven to scratch that itch. There's no way we'll be able to keep our hands off this for the next 10 - 15 years, but anyone that could would be in for a very special surprise.
You’d pay $100 full price.

1x Fox Creek Old Vine Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This is no shrinking violet - it’s an unapologetically plush, full-bodied red built to impress the big-shiraz faithful. Think dark fruit liqueur meets espresso and plum sauce, with waves of chocolate, clove, date and anise all rolling in like a flavour parade. It’s rich, velvety and just this side of decadent, but not without brains. There’s iron and bay leaf cutting through, adding a savoury edge that keeps it from tipping into syrupy territory. Then the finish hits - long, dark and insanely deep - leaving you both satisfied and curious for another glass. This is a wine for the loyal McLaren Vale shiraz-heads. The ones who don’t apologise for loving flavour, weight and a bit of drama in their glass. If that’s you, clear some space in the decanter.
Drink : Now - 2035

This is one producer that made waves with our mofos in the last year. They came onto the scene hot, all due to their jaw-dropping wines that we could offer you at eye-popping prices. So here you go: immaculately made, impeccably cellared shiraz from the best of the best. Now that is a good deal.

1x Ivyburn First Minister Shiraz 2022 750mL
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This deeply personable shiraz expresses ripe red berries, black pepper, spice and blackcurrant . Full-bodied and complex, the ripe characteristics of rich, broad fruits, and overt chocolatey notes tell you that, odds are, you're in the great McLaren Vale region. In other words, this is a strikingly regional wine that expresses all that is great about this phenomenal region. Fragrant American oak is displayed with intensity and vibrancy and, along with an already present texture and structure, set this wine up for a very long life in the cellar. Drink now - 2035 (at least).

1x Welland Wines 1846 Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Welland Wines’ 1846 Shiraz 2023 is the kind of bottle that puts the Barossa’s swagger front and centre. It’s plush, dark and beautifully sculpted - think ripe blackberries, cocoa, spice and that signature Barossa warmth wrapped in silky tannins. The fruit purity here is next level, thanks to smart hands-off winemaking and vines with serious heritage. It’s bold without being blousy, polished without losing its soul. This is modern Barossa done right -generous, expressive and dangerously drinkable.

1x Lou Miranda Estate Golden Lion Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
In the glass, the colour is a deep crimson red and there’s lifted aromas of plum, pepper, vanilla and dark chocolate. The palate is full and generous with dark fruits, interwoven spice and savoury tannins. With Angela Miranda at the helm of the winemaking, this is one well made wine. There's a good dose of American oak in the ageing regime on this, adding a touch of coconut and further vanilla to the wine. It’s ready to go with a big ole’ steak right now or will happily nap in your cellar for 15 years. This big boy is here for you now and in the future.
You’d pay $50 full price.
