Why do we love this case?
Oh shiraz! Our one and only national obsession and love affair! This collection of shiraz is anything but ordinary. From your special bottle to your weekday quaffer, we’ve got you covered. From elegant and poised to rich and raucous, there’s a little bit of everything and more.
Each case contains TWO of each of the following:
2x Ulithorne Familia Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
McLaren Vale shiraz, yes, but lithe and vibrant. A more medium-bodied feel leaves room for the lively fruit flavours to sing, unshackled from big, beefy, old-school styles. Classic brambly goodness skates on a fresh sheet of acidity, with just enough grippy tannin to keep it grounded. Miraculously food-friendly, there’s all the ingredients here for an infamous dinner party red. The kind you and your mates are liable to enjoy a wee bit too much of an evening.
The previous three vintages of this garnered a more-than-respectable 95 points from Mr. Halliday himself. We got in quick with the release of this vintage, but expect similar accolades to be awarded soon enough.
You’d pay $40 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Amelia Park Ironstone Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Frankland River — Australia
This wine is, without doubt, one of the most popular we’ve ever seen at Vinomofo. How popular is popular, you ask? Well, thirsty mofos took over 30,000 bottles of a previous vintage straight out of our hands. Yup. We know it’s a great wine deal but when our mofo members are this unanimous in their desire for this drop; well it’s simply cause for one big shiraz gluggin’ celebration.
Full bodied and silky smooth with lashings of plums and earthy spice; if you’re quaffing this Frankland River gem on a week night, know you’re in good company alongside many a mofo. With one fist in the air (and the other holding a glass of this wine) we salute you!
You’d pay $33 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Gomersal Wines Rosevale Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
These producers are right in the heart of it, the famed terroir of the Barossa Valley. This is the kind of wine you can open without hesitation, and it’ll deliver on all its promises. Deeply coloured, and richly flavoured. The palate is fleshy with all the fruits from plum to black cherry to raspberry. You’re doing things right if you get some charred things on your dinner- whether that be meat or vegetables. Lean into the comforts, and enjoy without restraint.
You’d pay $25 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Penley Estate Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Coonawarra — Australia
We all know that this winery, one of Coonawarra’s finest, make great cabernet under their Estate Range. It’s the kind of red you want on the wine rack all year round because it over-delivers and gets better and better. Can the same be said for their shiraz? We think even more so, but you’ll have to try the wine and decide for yourself. Expect a firm palate with soft tannins, nestled in a medium-body of fruit and spice. There’s dark plums, bright cherries and spicy cloves, drinking well now and only getting better.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Random Shot Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Padthaway — Australia
From a little-known corner of South Australia, somewhere along the Riddoch Highway, comes this exceptional value shiraz. It’s absolutely jam-packed with stewed fruit, chocolate and liquorice. Ripe and delicious flavour that packs a real punch is carried on the back of bright acidity, lifting blackberries, bramble, black cherry and prosciutto notes alike to a long and delectable finish. This has to be up there in terms of best value buys. Whether you’re shopping for a pantry-stocking quaffer or something to share with the family over Sunday lunch, this is a great value contender with a foot in both camps.
You’d pay $20 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Haselgrove Batch 187 Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre 2019
Red — Shiraz Blend
McLaren Vale — Australia
They’re not joking when they say ‘shiraz blend’. This little number has been put together from select parcels of McLaren Vale’s finest red grapes. It was created with the European market in mind - they’re no strangers to blends there. There are loads of big, rich ripe fruits, of course, but a certain elegance pervades its mosaic-like palate. There are soft, subtle nuances in flavour you wouldn’t get from a straight varietal alone. Alongside fruit-cake berries sit coffee grounds, dried Provence herbs and a soft tickle of baking spice. Something a little different from Haselgrove, and very welcome at that.
You’d pay $25 full price.
