2x House of Hahndorf Sauvignon Blanc 2025

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Adelaide Hills — Australia

When we see the name Hahndorf, one thing pops straight into our thirsty little minds - sauvignon blanc… and GOOD sauv blanc too! This wine shows us exactly why the Adelaide Hills owns this variety in Australia like nobody else. Picture this: fruit from those rolling, cool-as-anything hills, fermented low and slow to lock in every last drop of freshness. The nose bursts with mango, guava and a flick of lime leaf - basically a tropical holiday in a glass, minus the sunburn. Take a sip and boom: bright, zippy, ultra-refreshing acidity drives the whole thing from start to finish. It’s crisp, clean, mouthwatering and absolutely ready to drink this summer. In short: Adelaide Hills sauv blanc done right - vibrant, aromatic and dangerously easy to love.

You'd pay $35 full price.

They're hitting their stride in a big way, and if you're smart, you'll jump on board before everyone else catches on. This is a completely classic Margaret River sauv blanc - super smashable, super food-friendly, super friend-friendly! 2x Harvest Moon Sauvignon Blanc 2024

White — Sauvignon Blanc

King Valley — Australia

Sometimes you don't need a wine that's trying to prove something. Sometimes you just want a bloody good sauvignon blanc that tastes delicious and doesn't require a degree in winemaking to enjoy. That's exactly what these mates set out to make, and they've absolutely smashed it. Brilliantly light and bright in the glass, with just a hint of those classic tropical vibes dancing around on the nose. This is King Valley fruit doing its thing without any unnecessary bells and/or whistles - beautifully clean, controlled, and totally crowd-pleasing. The cooler ripening season worked its magic here, letting all those savoury characters build up slowly and show up with a bit of restraint instead of screaming for attention. They've chucked some pressings back into the free run juice to pump up the flavour without losing that fresh, zingy mouthfeel that makes sauvignon blanc so damn drinkable. Completely delicious.

You'd pay $30 full price.

2x Mont St Lunara Sauvignon Blanc 2025

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Alpine & King Valleys — Australia

From the cool, elevated slopes of Victoria’s King Valley comes a white that captures the region’s signature freshness. Light green in the glass, it opens with a bouquet of lime and lemon blossom before ripe gooseberry and subtle herbaceous notes take centre stage. The palate is crisp and lively, with that hallmark sorbet-like natural acidity bringing balance and lift to the ripe fruit. It’s the kind of wine that’s equally at home poolside, at a long lunch, or alongside fresh seafood and summer salads. A bright, zesty taste of King Valley cool-climate charm.

You'd pay $27 full price.

2x Lange Estate TSR Sauvignon Blanc 2025

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Great Southern — Australia

This represents sauvignon blanc at its most expressive and food-friendly, perfect for immediate drinking when the aromatics are at their peak and the acidity provides maximum refreshment. The nose hits hard with ripe citrus and passionfruit, lifted by a hint of lemongrass that adds herbal complexity. These aren't subtle aromatics - they're bold and expressive, announcing the wine's character immediately. On the palate, juicy gooseberry and guava flavours dominate, enhanced by herbal nuances that add layers without overwhelming the primary fruit. What really impresses is the balance - there's a subtle textural edge that provides weight and interest, while mouthwatering acidity drives everything forward to a long, crisp finish.

You'd pay $25 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

This curated lineup showcases the remarkable diversity within the Sauvignon Blanc variety, spanning from mineral-driven expressions to tropical fruit-forward styles. With two bottles of each wine included, you can explore how different terroirs and winemaking approaches influence this versatile grape. The collection represents excellent value with multiple award-winning producers and a 95-point Wine Orbit rating, making it perfect for comparative tastings or entertaining.

Sauvignon Blanc is incredibly expressive of its terroir, and this collection demonstrates that beautifully across various Australian regions. Cool climate expressions tend toward citrus, green apple, and mineral notes, while warmer regions often produce wines with tropical passionfruit and rockmelon characteristics. The grassy, herbaceous qualities that make Sauvignon Blanc distinctive can vary from subtle hints to pronounced aromatics depending on vineyard location and harvest timing.

The beauty of having multiple Sauvignon Blanc styles is the versatility for food matching. The mineral-driven wines pair excellently with fresh oysters, goat's cheese, and herb-crusted fish, while the tropical fruit-forward expressions complement Asian cuisine, particularly Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The citrus and green apple notes make these wines natural partners for summer salads, grilled prawns, and dishes featuring fresh herbs like basil or coriander.

Sauvignon Blanc is generally crafted for immediate enjoyment to preserve its vibrant aromatics and fresh acidity, and these wines are perfect for drinking now. The 2023-2025 vintages represent optimal drinking windows when the characteristic citrus zest and tropical fruit flavours are at their peak. While some premium examples can develop interesting complexity over 2-3 years, the majority of these wines will be most expressive within the next 12-18 months.

Estate-grown wines indicate complete control from vineyard to bottle, allowing winemakers to craft distinctive expressions that truly reflect their specific site. The boutique producer designations highlight smaller-scale operations that often focus on quality over quantity, resulting in more personalised and unique wine styles. These credentials, combined with staff picks and dangerous value ratings, suggest you're getting artisanal quality wines that punch well above their price point from passionate, hands-on producers.
