2x First Sighting Sauvignon Blanc 2022
White — Sauvignon Blanc
South Africa — South Africa
This wonderful sauvignon blanc from Strandveld Vineyards in Cape Agulhas, South Africa is unbelievable value. This has all of the tropical, zesty notes that any sauv drinker would like, plus an ocean-side freshness. The vineyards lie only 9km from the sea and maybe I’ve been lured by their marketing, but I swear there’s a bit of sea-spray on the grapes. Either way, it is a holiday in a glass and I know that’s what I need right now.

2x Twin Valleys Sauvignon Blanc 2023
White — Sauvignon Blanc
King Valley — Australia
Excellent sauv blanc is being produced in the King Valley. Who knew? Well, Twin Valleys did. It makes sense that an area with bright, crisp pinot grigio can do the same with savvy b. This one is all tropical fruit and gooseberries, backed by a softer acidity. In layperson’s terms, that means it makes for some easy drinking. So let Twin Valleys do all the hard work in growing the grapes and making the wine. Then, you relax and pour yourself a glass (or two).

2x Wills Domain Mystic Spring Sauvignon Blanc 2023
White — Sauvignon Blanc
Margaret River — Australia
Passionfruit and pear are present for sure, but there is a vegetal, spiced layer, too. There's more complexity and layers on offer than you may find out of our Kiwi neighbours back yards. This is brilliantly compiled by one of the regions greatest winemakers, and from one of the regions great wine houses. Stock up, Mofo - this is your new favourite 'anytime' white.

2x Wheeler Wines Sauvignon Blanc 2019
White — Sauvignon Blanc
Yarra Valley — Australia
Wheeler Wines are icons of the Yarra Valley, a status they've received from impeccable wines time and time again. This savvy-b is not like the rest: naturally fermented in both tank and French oak, it's not all just zing and zest. There's palate weight in the form of almond and fresh hay. This is as excellent as it is exciting, it's hard to stop at one glass.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Elysian Springs Pennies From Heaven Sauvignon Blanc 2022
White — Sauvignon Blanc
Adelaide Hills — Australia
What sets Adelaide Hills sauv blanc apart from the rest in Australia is its trademark texture and tension. It doesn’t lean too far into NZ fruit-bomb territory, nor does it fall in the realm of citrus city. Leading the charge here is pithy grapefruit freshness, with a supporting cast of guava, green pineapple, lime and a hint of fresh hay. Sounds fresh doesn’t it? Are you salivating yet?
You’d pay $30 full price.
