2x Pauletts Clare Valley Riesling 2024
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Clare Valley riesling proves, again, that it's one of the best 'bang for your buck' wines in the world, yep, seriously. Packed full of distinctive regional qualities: lemon-lime cordial, orange blossom, zippy acidity and that slaty mineral note we all know and love - this is an absolute winner. Right in the sweet spot. On the spectrum of Clare riz, this sits bang in the middle, 'the goldilocks zone', so to speak. The acid is prevalent, but not too austere. The fruit is developed, but not overly rich. The mineral aspects are refreshing, but not spritzy. It's the kind of wine you can show to anyone, but far from boring. A fresh, dry and completely delicious bottle of rizza that'll have you reaching for another glass quicker than you think. A little dangerous in that regard. Drink now or have a look in 5 years.
You’d pay $28 full price.

2x Auld Family Wines 'The Ernie' Single Vineyard Riesling 2024
White — Riesling
Eden Valley — Australia
Our friends at Auld Family Wines have literally never let us down - they've kept true to form here... This is a crisp, vibrant, citrusy Eden Valley riesling, but it's so much more than that. There's a hint of richness here that, coupled with the classic Eden acidity, creates a beautifully balanced wine that goes down a little too easily... On the nose, this is a super floral wine, very much still on the zesty spectrum that you'd expect from the Eden Valley, but with a slight richness with notes of stone fruit and honey-blossom. The textural fruit and regional minerality sing in perfect harmony and set up a wine of impressive length that manages to hold on to a crisp, refreshing finish. Cellared carefully, this will comfortably continue aging and developing for another 8 to 10 years but that's the beauty of riesling isn't it - get stuck in whenever you want, it's absolutely humming right now!
You’d pay $38 full price.

2x Claymore Wines Joshua Tree Riesling 2025
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Watervale is probably THE premier sub-region of the Clare Valley for top-notch Aussie rizza. And the fact that you can snag one of the prime examples for this price is nothing short of incredible. We’re talking drive, complexity, fruit purity – the works. This rizza won GOLD at The Intercontinental Wine Challenge this year, so we need not say much more. There’s citrus blossom, jasmine and a touch of mandarin oil enchanting you on the nose to start. The palate doesn’t disappoint either, with lemon zest, lime, a cool minerality and clean, slatey finish. You can cellar this one, too, no problem. It’s gotta be some of the best value in all Aussie wine.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Thistledown Single Vineyard Courtesan Riesling 2023
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Lean, clean, and dangerously refreshing. This is what Clare Valley riz is all about, overdelivering on price again and again and again. There's so much wine crammed into this tiny bottle - magic. This is classic Clare with a twist of elegance - crisp, dry and mouthwateringly fresh. Citrus blossom, lime zest and a clean mineral edge lead the charge, while the palate hums with juicy acidity and floral lift. Sourced from a single vineyard in the Valley’s cooler south, only the purest free-run juice made the cut. Cool fermentation, a short stint on lees, and no overwork - just pristine fruit and precise winemaking doing the talking.
You’d pay $24 full price.
