2x Journey Wines Coldstream Pinot Noir 2023

Red — Pinot Noir

Yarra Valley — Australia

Wowee, we've got an outstanding example of single-vineyard Yarra pinot on our hands here! As generous as it is sophisticated - this wine is paradoxically super easy to drink, and at the same time, next level complex. Trying to pick individual notes is like picking individual voices in a choir. And why should we? If the song sounds good, let 'em sing - and the wine is certainly singing now.

2x Kellybrook Edenesque Pinot Noir 2024

Red — Pinot Noir

Yarra Valley — Australia

A blend of hand-picked pinot noir grapes from 3 Upper Yarra sites, the Siwa, the Willowlake and the Full Moon vineyards. If you've spent any time in or around the Yarra then you know those names. You know their reputation. You know what that fruit is capable of. It's all on display in this gorgeous bottle of wine. A vibrant ruby red in the glass that draws you in, then an aromatic hit that’s all about freshness and finesse. Think juicy raspberry and dark cherries, with little hints forest floor. The palate takes it up a notch - those bright red fruits are joined by sweet spice, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and a gentle lick of toasty French oak. It’s layered, lively and dangerously drinkable. A beautiful balance of fruit and finesse.

2x Woodside Park Estate Pinot Noir 2025

Red — Pinot Noir

Adelaide Hills — Australia

Everyone needs a wine like this in the cellar. A people pleasing, versatile wine that you can open at any time of day or night and know exactly what you're going to get. In this case, here's what you're going to get: Bright, lifted fruit ranging from fresh red currants all the way to black cherries and everything in between. There's a subtle spice and earthiness that the Adelaide Hills tends to bring out in wines and a silky mouthfeel from time spent in french oak. It's not an overly complex wine but why should it be? It's delicious just how it is and sometimes you just want to put something yummy in your glass without having to do a Somm exam. This is the kind of wine that's going to come in very handy one day, when you're stuck in a booze-less pickle, reach for the Woodside.

King Valley — Australia

This King Valley beauty is stacked with dark berries, plums and cherries that just keep unfolding as you drink. There's a little hint of spice lurking in there too, adding just enough intrigue to keep things interesting without getting too complex or difficult to drink. This one is as layered with personality as it is soft yet bold. It's the kind of wine that reminds us why pinot noir is such a pleasure to drink when it's not trying too hard. This is a wine that knows how to seduce without being obvious about it, delivering layer after layer of fruit-driven deliciousness that'll have you coming back for more. 2x Sorby Adams HandCrafted Pinot Noir 2024

Red — Pinot Noir

South Australia — Australia

Sorby Adams does things properly. Always has. And this pinot noir is a perfect example of what happens when a boutique producer with serious winemaking pedigree turns their attention to one of the world's most demanding varieties. This is pinot that doesn't ask much of you. Just a glass, maybe some good food alongside it and a big smile! Bright, vibrant and completely inviting from the first pour - cherry, strawberry and raspberry at the core, with a savoury earthiness and a lick of spice that gives it a complexity well beyond what most wines at this price deliver. The texture is silky and supple, the tannins are fine and seamlessly integrated, and the finish is clean and satisfying in a way that makes the next glass feel completely inevitable. Drinks beautifully right now and has another few years of easy, pleasurable drinking ahead of it. Smart, well-crafted cool-climate pinot from one of our favourite boutique producers. Grab a few. You'll go through them faster than you think

2x Devil Made Pinot Pinot Noir 2025

Red — Pinot Noir

Adelaide Hills — Australia

Not all Pinot Noir wants to be delicate and well-behaved. Here's one that has absolutely no interest in that. Adelaide Hills fruit with genuine attitude and expressive character. Dark, vibrant and lively - this isn't Pinot that tiptoes around the palate. It announces itself, takes a seat and refuses to leave until the bottle is empty. This is what happens when a third-generation winemaker decides the cool-climate Pinot category has been playing it safe for far too long - and deliberately, gleefully, makes something that disrupts the whole thing. Small batch. Single clone. Unfiltered. Built to stand out and start conversations. The aesthetic matches the wine perfectly - moody, bold and entirely unbothered by what anyone thinks about it. For Pinot lovers who want something with genuine personality. And for anyone who's been secretely hoping someone would shake the category up a bit.

Frequently Asked Questions

This curated lineup showcases Pinot Noir's incredible versatility across different terroirs and winemaking styles. Rather than committing to one expression, you'll experience the grape's chameleon-like ability to reflect its environment - from the perfumed elegance typical of cooler climates to the darker, more structured styles from warmer sites. It's an educational journey that demonstrates why Pinot Noir is considered one of the world's most expressive varietals.

Start with the lighter, more perfumed styles and progress to the darker expressions to avoid palate fatigue. The diverse flavour profile spanning from strawberry and cherry to blackberry and earthy notes means each wine will reveal different characteristics. Consider tasting them over several sessions, perhaps pairing the lighter styles with salmon or duck, while the more structured wines complement lamb or aged cheeses.

The beauty of this mixed lineup lies in its food pairing flexibility across different occasions. The perfumed styles excel with delicate dishes like roasted chicken or mushroom risotto, while the darker expressions handle heartier fare like beef bourguignon or game meats. The herbaceous and earthy notes in some bottles make them perfect partners for dishes featuring thyme, rosemary, or truffle-based sauces.

With vintages spanning 2023-2025, most of these Pinot Noirs are crafted for immediate enjoyment while still having potential for short to medium-term cellaring. Pinot Noir typically shows beautifully in its youth, displaying fresh fruit characteristics, but can develop complex secondary flavours of forest floor, leather, and spice over 3-7 years. The boutique nature of these producers suggests careful winemaking that supports both approaches.

While the specific regions aren't detailed, this collection represents some of the world's premier Pinot Noir territories, each contributing distinct characteristics to the lineup. Different regions impart unique signatures - cooler climates typically produce more elegant, perfumed wines with bright acidity, while slightly warmer areas can yield richer, more concentrated expressions. This diversity allows you to explore how geography influences this notoriously site-sensitive grape variety.
