2x Russell & Suitor Ladera Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir 2024
Red — Pinot Noir
Adelaide Hills — Barossa
When a Tasmanian winery *chooses* to make wine from the Hills, you know they've got their hands on some good fruit. This absolutely leaps out of the glass, right at you! Red berries and strawberries, silky subtle tannin and that little bit of earthiness that the Hills is known for. Yummers. If you talk to a winemaker, every vintage is "hard going" or "challenging". If you talk to the marketing manager of a winery, every vintage is "perfect" or "amazing". It's a rare and special year on which the two can agree. 2024, as it turns out, is a rare and special year for the Adelaide Hills. This wine shows the great concentration of fruit and underlying, dare we say it, Burgundy-esque earthiness that the Hills can impart in those great years. A wine that you're actually meant to enjoy drinking - we have been.

2x Twin Valleys Reserve Pinot Noir 2023
Red — Pinot Noir
Victoria — Barossa
This is a really smart little wine. A lot of red fruit on display, some rich, ripe raspberry and strawberries lead into more densely laden cranberry and red cherry. The tannin is fine grain and delicate - pretty but textural and providing nice, subtle grip. While this is certifiable cool climate, it doesn't want for weight. The palate is satisfying and broad with classic cool climate acidity giving it focus and drive through a fine boned, prickly finish that lasts and lasts.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Mt Bera Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Adelaide Hills — Barossa
Ken Gargett once said of Mt Bera's pinot that it was "amongst the best on the mainland", which is a very high praise for this humble Adelaide Hills producer. Delightfully earthy, but backed up by lifted raspberry and red cherry notes, we would absolutely have to agree that this wine offers a great deal of value in every sip.

2x Sorby Adams Mytikas Pinot Noir 2022
Red — Pinot Noir
Adelaide — Barossa
This satisfying little pinot takes its name from the peak of Mount Olympus in Athens, where the Adelaide GI grape-grower George’s family originated - Mytikas. Funnily enough, it also means "nose", we reckon that's pretty fitting given the fragrant, vibrant style that the wines are made in. Subtle French oak sets the stage for a fresh, bright pinot displaying plum, red cherry and warming spice. The finish is as long as it is satisfying. You could drink this pinot any time, anywhere and with any one. Super yummy.

2x Harvest Moon Pinot Noir 2024
Red — Pinot Noir
King Valley — Barossa
This King Valley beauty is stacked with dark berries, plums and cherries that just keep unfolding as you drink. There's a little hint of spice lurking in there too, adding just enough intrigue to keep things interesting without getting too complex or difficult to drink. This one is as layered with personality as it is soft yet bold. It's the kind of wine that reminds us why pinot noir is such a pleasure to drink when it's not trying too hard. This is a wine that knows how to seduce without being obvious about it, delivering layer after layer of fruit-driven deliciousness that'll have you coming back for more. Pour it, sip it, fall in love with it. Simple as that.

2x Austins Wines 6Ft6 Pinot Noir 2025
Red — Pinot Noir
Geelong — Barossa
Geelong is, for me, the best pinot noir producing region outside of Burgundy. Not the USA's Oregon, not New Zealand's Central Otago - little old Geelong on Victoria's south coast. Fresh and inviting, this will give a lot with just a little swirl in the glass. Raspberry coulis, winter strawberry, some sweet spice, fennel, thistle. The complexity far outpaces its price tag. The wine is structured without sacrificing finesse, which means it's pretty without being thin or wussy. This is dangerous value at this price and worth stocking up because we don't anticipate we'll be able to hang onto it too for long.
You’d pay $25 full price.
