2x Matahiwi Estate Reserve Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Wairarapa — New Zealand
Pinot is a really tough grape to handle at the best of times, let alone when on a budget. Every now and then, though, you do find some gems. This is one of those. Made by the team at Matahiwi, who are known to over-deliver, this pinot does, and then some! Light and bright, it ticks the fruit, complexity and pinosity boxes with a flourish. A firm favourite of our customers and staff, excitement levels get pretty high when Matahiwi enters the building.

2x Twin Valleys Reserve Pinot Noir 2023
Red — Pinot Noir
Victoria — Australia
This is a really smart little wine. A lot of red fruit on display, some rich, ripe raspberry and strawberries lead into more densely laden cranberry and red cherry. The tannin is fine grain and delicate - pretty but textural and providing nice, subtle grip. While this is certifiable cool climate, it doesn't want for weight. The palate is satisfying and broad with classic cool climate acidity giving it focus and drive through a fine boned, prickly finish that lasts and lasts.

2x Mt Bera Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Ken Gargett once said of Mt Bera's pinot that it was "amongst the best on the mainland", which is a very high praise for this humble Adelaide Hills producer. Delightfully earthy, but backed up by lifted raspberry and red cherry notes, we would absolutely have to agree that this wine offers a great deal of value in every sip.

2x Rob Dolan Wines Pinot Noir 2023
Red — Pinot Noir
Victoria — Australia
You'll know Rob Dolan Wines for their reputation for excellence. They've been making some of the most iconic wines of the Yarra Valley and broader Victorian region for decades. This is, of course, no exception to that spirit of excellence; fresh red raspberries and pulpy cherry meat fine, slippery tannin structure. There is sappy acidity that frames the enduring finish. A brilliantly delivered wine from a master of their craft.

2x Eminence Novella Pinot Noir 2022
Red — Pinot Noir
King Valley — Australia
This wine is enormous fun - light, bright, sappy, floral, confected, a little bunch. There is complexity for days. The fruit weight is complete and satisfying and, while it remains light bodied (as pinot classically and varietally should) it feels complete and satisfying on the palate. There is bricky, savoury back palate nuance which puts a nice little bow on the mid-palate fruit, punctuating it and acting as a counterpoint to the pep of the acidity. It feels – and is – expertly crafted at every step.

2x DCB Wine Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Yarra Valley — Australia
Raspberry coulis and bramble, some dark forest fruits and overt spice. Some snapped twig grassy notes, too. This is complex and packed full of intrigue - a wine that showcases the regions capacity for world class pinot. Fruit driven and displaying excellent earthy aromatics, this is pinot that over delivers at every turn.
You’d pay $30 full price.
