Why do we love this case?
Are you a fan of style, finesse, brightness, lift, ripping acidity, perfume, and complexity? Then this is purpose built just for you. Take a deep dive into three of the most popular grapes that have been getting wine nerds revved up for as long as there have been wine nerds to begin with!
2x Anarchist Pinot Noir 2022
Red — Pinot Noir
Limestone Coast — Australia
Fresh and exuberant pinot from the Limestone Coast in South Australia (home to globally famous Coonawarra). This is a fine with fun stitched in - it’s light, bright, lifted and energetic. The fruit profile sits squarely in the ‘light red’ spectrum with raspberries, winter strawberries, and cherries. This is one of those reds that, should the weather demand it, you can stick in the fridge for 40 minutes before tucking in.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Helen & Joey Gruyere Hill Pinot Noir 2020
Red — Pinot Noir
Yarra Valley — Australia
If you’re like us and taste a tonne of wine, you’ll know that getting a glass of Yarra Valley pinot in your hands is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Not only is it bound to be fresh and vibrant, it’s unlike pinot that you’ll find anywhere else in Aus (or the world for that matter!). Our producer has done us proud, making Yarra pinot through and through. They’ve worked their magic to provide a fruit-forward style brimming with tangy strawberry, cherry, and blood orange, accentuated by a crunchy acid line and fine silky tannins. Put a little chill on the bottle, or don’t! It’ll delight you any way you drink it.
You’d pay $32 full price.

2x Byron & Harold Gravity White Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
Wine Pilot's Ken Gargett is expecting 'an exciting future' from this Margs chardy, if you have the self-restraint not to drink it all now that is, telling us to 'enjoy over the next four to six years and expect the score to rise in the next few years'. Right now, though, this is citrusy, creamy, tropical, and floral - a winning combination for us.
You’d pay $32 full price.

2x Sorby Adams Mytikas Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide — Australia
Chardonnay from a South Aussie icon? Sign us up. This has varietal character up and down; stone fruit and citrus aromatics into rich, honeyed-almost-creamy flavours on the palate. This is quintessentially, unashamedly Aussie chardonnay - it will delight with every sip.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x B Minor Riesling 2022
White — Riesling
Nagambie Lakes — Australia
The winemaker behind this riesling has experience running the show at the crème de la crème of Victoria’s best wineries (and numerous stints in France). This riesling is an intense yet pure expression of place from 40+ year-old vines. Leaping with floral aromatics, think ginger and jasmine, with a crunchy apple flavour fleshing out into the riper pineapple spectrum. The acidity is mouthwatering but offers a perfectly balanced riesling frame - the basis for subtle yet persistent flavours. Pure perfection.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Claymore God is a DJ Riesling 2023
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
When it comes to the legendary producer Claymore, I always think - come for the reds, and stay for the riesling. They have a few rieslings in their collection, all excellent examples of what Clare Valley does best. This beauty is all about the floral, sherbet-y nose with a few funky notes too. It follows with a dry and textural palate that is pithy and citric - vibrant and classic. It has a super-dry finish and my notes say “it’s pretty bloody delicious”.
You’d pay $22 full price.
