Why do we love this case?
Are you a fan of the hits? We sure are – that’s why we keep dishing ‘em up. And when it comes to classics, it doesn’t get much more celebrated, more tried and true, more iconic-for-a-reason than pinot, chardy, and riesling. Are you a fan of style, finesse, brightness, lift, ripping acidity, perfume, and complexity? Then this is purpose built just for you. Take a deep dive into three of the most popular grapes that have been getting wine nerds revved up for as long as there have been wine nerds to begin with!
2x Twin Valleys Pinot Noir 2021
Red — Pinot Noir
Alpine & King Valleys — Australia
The Twin Valleys pinot noir grabs all that Alpine and King Valley freshness and bottles it up for us to enjoy elsewhere. The lightness and the cool, bright acid line that cuts through this wine brings a satisfying bit of energy to whoever’s lucky enough to have it in their cup (me, in this instance). Winter strawberry and under ripe raspberry on the palate immediately, but there is a bit of darker, richer fruit tucked in behind it. Mulberry and bramble, and a bit of vanillin oak presence, too. A bit of whole bunch lends a slippery, suppleness to the mouthfeel and ties the wine together beautifully. A fine boned, prickly finish that lasts and lasts.
You’d pay $31 full price.

2x Russell & Suitor Son of a Bull Pinot Noir 2022
Red — Pinot Noir
Tasmania — Australia
This is bright and vibrant pinot that doesn't veer into being too thin or insipid, instead pulpy fruit takes over and fills out the wine making it soft and plush in the mouth. When we initially tasted this the first question was 'how much can we get?' (the answer to which is always 'not much). It's amazing value from a region known for scarcity - we're so excited to bring you this wine... if only we had more of it!
You’d pay $29 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Gapsted Limited Release Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
King Valley — Australia
Fresh and energetic chardy from Victoria’s High Country. Nutty, a little savoury and cheesy in parts, but with zippy stone fruit acidity that bristles on the palate. This is a wonderful example of high altitude brightness that doesn’t become overly lean or stingy. Nectarine, whole lemon, apricot, white peach - this has got it all. Complex and generous chardy under fifteen bucks? Sounds like a steal to me.
You’d pay $31 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Bellarmine Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
Pemberton — Australia
We’ve learnt to expect big things from this chardonnay. This juice is crafted by a very talented winemaking crew who have a knack for producing top quality vinos vintage in and year out. Perhaps it’s the cool and lush climate of the Pemberton region, perhaps it’s the passion of the vineyard owners and winemakers. More likely it’s a bit of both. Sitting down to a glass (or bottle) of this, you can expect delicious bursts of citrus and green apple on the palate, stone fruit on the nose and a subtle spicy oak. Boasting creamy texture, excellent length and lovely minerality, this chardy is guaranteed to exceed.
You’d pay $27 full price.

2x Kirrihill Gleeson & Co. Riesling 2021
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
This snappy rizza has been taking us wine-o’s by storm. It’s from Clare Valley and is classic Clare - light, dry and delicious. The nose is floral and citric and the palate delivers that same bright citrus with lime cordial and grapefruit pith. You can just imagine how this wine would sing with South East Asian cuisine, packed with fresh herbs and tamarind. Brimming with fresh acidity, this wine is great drinking now and way into the future.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Penna Lane Three Valleys Riesling 2022
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Welcome back another stellar vintage of Penna Lane riesling. It’s a slightly riper style: less of the laser beam acid and more ripe fruit fun. It smells and tastes like a riz, with all that complexity and aromatic charm, while being deliciously easy drinking. There’s lime and sherbet, as standard, then hints of apricot, apple juice, and yellow apple. It’s amazing value and a perfect wine to have on hand for any occasion.
You’d pay $28 full price.
