Why do we love this case?
This is a collection of wines that are highly awarded and iconic, sure. But beyond that they're just crowd pleasing favourites that I love to drink. Wine's I'm happy to drag out for any occasion and any company. Across the board this is elegance, complexity, and utter drinkability in a bottle. Tip in, Mofo, you deserve it.
1x Schild Estate Three Springs Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
This particular vineyard, in the Rowland Flat area of the Barossa, sits at 380m above sea-level. At this altitude, Barossa vineyards traditionally produce much lower yields creating highly concentrated fruit of exceptional quality. From the first whiff it's quite apparent, this is a really smart wine. A perfumed nose of the expected dark fruits with floral elements of rose petal and violets. On the palate, juicy plums, dark chocolate, pepper, spice and, of course, a long, smooth, oak-driven finish. This drop is as intense as it is complex and will continue to impress for many years to come. Very, very impressive.

Tasting Notes
1x Mitolo Savitar Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Wonderfully textured, the wine is built around a long mineral acidity which carries intensity through the palate. White pepper, cedar and elegant allspice notes linger throughout the lengthy, linear finish. Matured for 20 months in 85% new French, 5% New American and 10% Seasoned French Oak hogshead barrels - drink it now or dig a hole in your backyard and forget about it. You could age this one for 15 years if you wanted but we're willing to bet you won't be able to keep your hands off it for that long!
You’d pay $105 full price.

This is the flagship riesling of, without doubt, the most recognisable riesling producer in Australia, if not the world. This is literally the best of the best. Look no further, riesling-lovers, you've found what you're looking for.

1x Punch Wines Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Yarra Valley — Australia
Punch Wines are quite possibly the most exciting boutique Yarra producer. They make some wicked wines well worthy of more recognition. This particular vineyard, to give you an idea, is near Christmas Hills, and is one of the oldest of the Yarra Valley. In short, it’s a bloody good spot to grow grapes. This chardy was whole bunch pressed directly into barrel, where it spent months resting on its lees and building all that toasty, rich complexity. This is not a showy wine, elegantly understated just like its maker. It calmly reveals its hand, holding all aces. Its probably got a few more up it’s sleeve for the coming years, too. Oh, and production numbers are remarkably low, so don’t delay.
You’d pay $55 full price.

1x Austin's Wines Moorabool Valley Pinot Noir 2023
Red — Pinot Noir
Geelong — Australia
A bright, primary fruited wine with vibrant red cherry and soft plummy notes. This is essentially a multi-clonal blend of the very best barrels available, the overall treatment ends up being about 20% new french oak allowing for a complex and rounded wine with a beautifully silky tannin structure. Age will bring complexity and perhaps some more savoury aspects. Drinking now will show pure, concentrated fruit and seriously high quality oak. A fantastic example of very skilful winemaking.
You’d pay $50 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Rymill Classic Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Complex, harmonious and elegant, this is a beautiful tribute to Coonawarra. Bestowed with a 4.1 Vivino rating (at time of writing) and made by one of the region’s most beloved wineries, it comes as no surprise that the identity of this distinctive red needs to be concealed - especially at this price. A symphony of juicy plum, blackcurrant, bay leaf and eucalypt combine with dense fruit cake and dark chocolate, leading to a plush and lingering crescendo.
You’d pay $39 full price.
