Tasting Notes
1x Balgownie Estate Museum Release Shiraz 2008
Red — Shiraz
Bendigo — Australia
Dense black fruits, herbaceous and spicy with a weighty, oak-supported backbone and soft tannins on the lingering finish. 15+ years of bottle age has brought a deep complexity and added all those wonderful tertiary notes that us aged-red-heads are constantly searching for. An early adopter of the screw-cap closure, this producer was looking firmly toward the future (even back in the early naughties), and the grace and elegance with which this wine has aged is a testament to that foresight. We're completely stoked with this drop. If it's not perfect, it's pretty bloody close.
You’d pay $115 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Head Wines 'Ancestor Vine' Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
Ancestor-vine shiraz doesn’t get much more compelling than this - sourced from the Lange family’s block perched beside the North Para River. And yes, the fruit’s got stories to tell. Rich, spicy and perfumed, it walks the line between power and poise like a seasoned pro. It opens with a seductive hit of dark cherry, dark plum and blackberry, backed by layers of cocoa, baking spice and Black Forest cake vibes for days. It’s generous, sure, but not overblown. Bright acidity and grainy, ripe tannins give it lift and structure. It’s impactful. It’s layered. And it’s got a very long road ahead if you can resist pulling the cork now. A seriously juicy old-vine Barossa that over-delivers in every way.
You’d pay $109 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Magarey Lane Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Cassis and red currant right up front. Tannins grip the gums and arrest the mouth before some round, smooth oak work offers relief. This is a prime example of Coonawarra's reliability in delivering regional and varietal typicity: fresh red and black fruits into more briary, developed, darker fruit tones, followed by coffee, chocolate, cedar, and fruit-leather. This is a drink-some-hold-some wine, it's looking brilliant right now, but we can't help but wonder what excellence a few years in the cellar may bring...
You’d pay $93 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Mitolo Wines G.A.M. Shiraz 2017
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Concentration, spice, and all things nice. Perfumed red cherries and plums, with a smooth chocolate-like texture, and those cooling breezes we know and love of the McLaren Vale leaving you with a wine of concentration and freshness. Year in, year out, this wine knocks our socks off but we've been impatiently waiting for this vintage to reach full maturity. It could be McLaren Vale etching its way further and further into our hearts. It could be the fastidious and integrated use of oak barrels. It could be the 8 years spent developing and growing into its self. It could be because we flat out just love shiraz. Or, we could love it because you folks love it. Whatever it is, it steals our heart every time, and we're proud to be able to present it to you at such phenomenal value.
You’d pay $89 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Grounded Cru Inc Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Australia’s favourite grape, shiraz, from a leading region, McLaren Vale, loaded with points (thank you Mr Halliday) and ready to drink! Yep - this is a classic Vinomofo deal! This is a stunning example of Vale shiraz, made from a single vineyard of old vines and given all the right treatment to create a plush and generous style. It was picked perfectly ripe, fermented with care and raised in French oak (25% new). There’s a spice and lift on the nose, that changes into brooding dark fruit and olive after a decant. It straddles the worlds of fruity, savoury and oaky, with the three elements playing harmoniously together in this powerfully plump wine.
You’d pay $55 full price.
