2x Barringwood Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Tasmania — Australia
This comes from one of Tasmania's best producers - genuine elite territory. Small operation means limited production, which translates to genuinely hard-to-get bottles. When you find them, you grab them. We've got stone fruit and citrus zest rolling through a creamy, nutty base - all carried by that trademark Tassie acidity that keeps it crisp and focused. One that's just a worthy of analysis as it is of pure, unthinking enjoyment!

2x Brokenwood Soil Selection Semillon 2024
White — Semillon
Hunter Valley — Australia
Nowhere else in the world makes semillon quite like the Hunter Valley. And no one in the Hunter does it better than Brokenwood - yet another vintage for the history books! Halliday Wine Companion said, "it stands out as one of the region's best buys", we think that's harsh if anything! The 2024 comes from hand-picked Pokolbin fruit, fermented cold in stainless. Pure, focused sem the way it's meant to be enjoyed. There's serious concentration and flavour punch. Drink it young and it's all freshness and zing – brilliant with prawns or anything from the ocean. Stash some away though, and in a few years you'll be rewarded with complexity, depth and those honeyed, toasty characters that make aged Hunter sem such a weapon. Still one of the smartest white wine buys going around.

2x Pipers Brook 'Little Piper's River' Sparkling NV
Sparkling — Sparkling White
Tasmania — Australia
Tasmania doesn’t muck around when it comes to sparkling, and this perky little ray of sunshine is exactly why the island keeps embarrassing the big names. Pipers Brook have been doing their thing since the 70s, long before Tassie fizz became the cool kid, and it shows. Estate-grown fruit, proper cool-climate precision, and genuine tradition-in-the-bottle pedigree. Chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier in a classic tri-varietal blend. Fresh as a sea breeze, bright citrus and crunchy apple up front, all backed by that signature Tasmanian acidity that makes everything feel crisp, clean and alive. Time on lees brings the creamy texture and fine bead that you’d expect from sparkling twice the price. This is purity with poise. Tassie through and through. The kind of bubbles that make you wonder why you ever bothered with anything else. If you’re chasing cool-climate class without the Champagne price tag, this is your move.

2x Peter Drayton Wildstreak Pinot Grigio 2025
White — Pinot Grigio
Canberra District — Australia
Here, the climate, altitude and know-how create the perfect place to grow and produce outstanding crisp whites of all varieties... particularly pinot grigio. With it's fierce Italian history, if anyone can grow outstanding grigio, it's the legends in the King. Bright, clean and beautifully generous with loads of flavour and notably zippy freshness. You're getting green fruits, honeysuckle, candied lemon zest and lime all dancing around. It's refreshing but it's full enough to carry food of any type. Chuck it in the fridge, serve it really cold, smile like cheeky monkey all night - safe in the knowledge that you got this for a steal.

Tasting Notes
2x Monarca Pinot Gris 2025
White — Pinot Gris
Alpine & King Valleys — Australia
The King and Alpine Valleys are among Australia's finest spots for pinot gris, and this one nails exactly what the variety should be in this country. You're getting texture and freshness working together beautifully - pear and melon richness rather than sharp citrus, with enough weight to handle roast chook, risotto or whatever you're throwing at it. Ripe pear and honeydew dominate, with a subtle spice note and creamy texture that gives it real presence in the glass. There's freshness keeping everything lifted, but it's got enough weight and richness to handle a good feed. The finish is clean and moreish - not bone dry, not sweet, just sitting in that spot where you reach for another glass without thinking about it. At this price, it's not just good value, it's genuinely delicious drinking and it's ticking all the gris boxes. Great stuff.

2x Thistledown Single Vineyard Courtesan Riesling 2023
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Lean, clean, and dangerously refreshing. This is what Clare Valley riz is all about, overdelivering on price again and again and again. There's so much wine crammed into this tiny bottle - magic. This is classic Clare with a twist of elegance - crisp, dry and mouthwateringly fresh. Citrus blossom, lime zest and a clean mineral edge lead the charge, while the palate hums with juicy acidity and floral lift. Sourced from a single vineyard in the Valley’s cooler south, only the purest free-run juice made the cut. Cool fermentation, a short stint on lees, and no overwork - just pristine fruit and precise winemaking doing the talking.
