2x School House Headmaster Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
We know that Coonawarra cabernet is sincerely age-able. That’s just part and parcel of this region’s charm. This School House cab shows the best of what the famed red clay has to offer, as it walks the tightrope between power and elegance with perfect poise. There are ripe dark fruits of plum and cassis, wrapped up in fine tannins and complimented by notes of toasty oak. It is intense, but also wonderfully balanced. We don’t need to say much more, because this is one wine that does most of the talking.

2x Ivyburn First Minister Shiraz 2022 750mL
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This deeply personable shiraz expresses ripe red berries, black pepper, spice and blackcurrant . Full-bodied and complex, the ripe characteristics of rich, broad fruits, and overt chocolatey notes tell you that, odds are, you're in the great McLaren Vale region. In other words, this is a strikingly regional wine that expresses all that is great about this phenomenal region. Fragrant American oak is displayed with intensity and vibrancy and, along with an already present texture and structure, set this wine up for a very long life in the cellar. Drink now - 2035 (at least).

2x Haselgrove Il Padrone Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Lovers of classic Vale shiraz will adore the Il Padrone! It’s big, rich & round (we’re salivating already and offers loads of inky goodness to get lost in. There’s plush, chewy berries with hints of peppery spice and leather that float intriguingly across the palate. Plums, blueberries and juicy black cherries dominate the fruit spectrum, in that inimitable Vale dark coffee-cake profile. It’ll get even more interesting in a few years’ time, but I, for one, won’t be able to keep my hands off it.

2x Craneford Tribeca GSM 2023
Red — GSM
Barossa — Australia
Bright red and dark berries shape the palate, lifted by a ripple of spice and the natural generosity of the varieties. The fruit sits plush and mouthfilling, but the structure stays firm enough to keep everything in line. Soft tannins and a gentle warmth round it out, giving the wine an easy sense of flow. Bold, balanced and thoroughly crowd pleasing, it hits the sweet spot between richness and drinkability.

2x Mr Riggs Idle Lane Pinot Noir 2024
Red — Pinot Noir
Adelaide Hills — Australia
There's an unofficial saying in South Australia, 'if you want a wine made, make a wine - if you want a wine made well, get Ben Riggs to make it'. Honestly, this bloke doesn't miss. Soft and silky in all the right places, but with that oomph and subtle structure that delicious Pinots tend to have. We love this wine, you will too. Drink with anything you can think of, even curry - we dare you!

Tasting Notes
2x Turkey Flat Vineyards Butcher's Block Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
We can’t splash the producer’s name all over the page… but let’s just say you’re dealing with one of the Barossa’s most famous estates. In other words, you're in good hands here. This shiraz is a fresher take on the region - still generous, still unmistakably Barossa, just with the brightness and spice dialled up a touch. The kind of wine that still brings the power but you don't need a knife and fork to consume it. Wonderfully vibrant. The palate is plush but not heavy. Juicy dark berries roll through first, backed by pepper, dried herbs and a subtle ironstone edge that keeps things interesting. A small portion of whole bunch brings extra lift and structure, while older oak lets the fruit stay front and centre. Tannins are fine and neatly shaped, carrying the flavour out to a tidy, satisfying finish. It’s modern, it’s vibrant, and it’s built to be enjoyed now - preferably with something sizzling on the grill. From a heavyweight Barossa name. At a price that makes it very easy to say yes.
