2x Stanley Estate StanRock Sauvignon Blanc 2025

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Marlborough — New Zealand

Regionally and stylistically perfect. Crisp, zesty and about as refreshing as wine gets. This is everything you expect from a Marlborough sauv - but taken up a gear. A complete essential. A super aromatic wine, tropical fruit and grassy notes leap out of the glass but the palate is where the real action is. Zesty grapefruit, passionfruit, gooseberries balanced by a gorgeous grassiness and vibrant acidity. This is what NZ sauvignon blanc is all about, clean, crisp, fresh and dry. Wonderfully done.

You'd pay $29 full price.

2x Yealands Wines Sauvignon Blanc 2024

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Marlborough — New Zealand

What is it about Malborough sauvignon blanc that keeps us coming back time after time after time? Well, seeing as this is a picture-perfect regional drop, let's take this wine as an example. The nose exhibits fresh herbs, and tropical fruit ranging from passion fruit to papaya to pineapple. The palate opens with racy, but not puckering, acid and a stylish minerality that keeps the fruit and subtle grassiness in check. Well made to be well enjoyed. Anything seafood or slightly greasey will be very much at home with this yummy summer slurper. Some wines are meant to be pondered and picked apart, some are meant to be drank, shared and enjoyed. This is the latter. Enjoy :)

You'd pay $26 full price.

Marlborough — New Zealand

This is exactly what you want from a Marlborough sauv blanc - bright, punchy and completely alive from the first sniff. No ceremony required. No food pairing notes needed. Just get it cold, get it open and get amongst it. Passionfruit, fresh lime, cut grass and a crisp herbaceous lift that's unmistakably Marlborough. Barbecues, long lunches, Friday afternoons, Tuesday evenings - this wine works for all of it and never asks for anything in return.

2x Sliding Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2025

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Marlborough — New Zealand

This comes off the oldest vineyard ground in Marlborough, that classic NZ style of Sauv Blanc? Yep, this crew pretty much invented it. Zesty citrus and tropical fruit up front, with fresh herbs sitting just underneath. Crisp all the way through, landing on a clean, mineral finish that keeps the whole thing lively rather than heavy. Sliding Hill sits under Auntsfield Estate, run by the Cowley family, who've kept this small patch of land tightly held and carefully looked after rather than scaling it up for volume. It's all about attention to detail and uncompromised consistency. This is a wine that reflects the true essence of what made Marlborough Sauv Blanc the most widely purchased white wine in Australia, if not the world - it's hard to get the data on this, the French are a proud lot...

Frequently Asked Questions

Marlborough sits at the top of New Zealand's South Island, where long sunny days and cool nights create an ideal environment for locking intense aromatics and bright acidity into the grape. The region's stony, free-draining soils add a flinty mineral quality that you can taste in this lineup alongside the classic grapefruit, passionfruit, and gooseberry characters. This combination of climate and terroir is why Marlborough essentially put New Zealand wine on the world map and continues to set the global benchmark for the variety.

This lineup delivers the full Marlborough flavour spectrum - expect zesty lime and grapefruit upfront, followed by tropical notes of guava and passionfruit, with a herbaceous, gooseberry lift on the finish. The flinty quality adds a subtle mineral edge that keeps things interesting beyond the fruit. Being light-bodied with lively acidity, every wine in the case finishes clean and refreshing rather than heavy or overly rich.

The high natural acidity in Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc makes it a brilliant partner for seafood - think freshly shucked oysters, grilled prawns, fish tacos, or a classic Thai green curry. The herbaceous lift also works beautifully with fresh goat's cheese, asparagus, and green salads dressed with citrus vinaigrette. Because the wines are light-bodied and crisp, they cut through rich or oily dishes without overwhelming delicate flavours.

Sauvignon Blanc is best enjoyed young and fresh, so the various 2024 to 2026 vintages in this lineup are right in their drinking window now. Serve well chilled at around 8 to 10 degrees Celsius to preserve the bright aromatics and keep that signature crispness intact. Store bottles in a cool, dark place and aim to drink them within one to two years of purchase to catch them at their liveliest.

With six different producers represented - including boutique estates and iconic Marlborough names - this case is a fantastic way to explore how individual winemakers interpret the same grape and region differently. You might notice that one wine leans more tropical while another is more flinty and mineral-driven, which reflects differences in vineyard site, picking date, and winemaking technique. It is essentially a guided tasting through the diversity of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and the accolades across the lineup - including 95 points from VinoMasters and a Gold Medal from the Beverage Tasting Institute - suggest every bottle is worth opening.
