Why do we love this case?
The Lucky Dip Case is back! The first time we did this, we broke the internet. This time we’ve bubble-wrapped the servers because they’re in for another beating.
Every case contains the same eleven wicked wines, including some of our absolute faves here at the ‘fo. More info on them below, and they’re all good things. All mofo standard - i.e. nothing we haven’t enjoyed ourselves.
Then there’s the added excitement of seeing which one of these world-beater wines you will receive as your twelfth.

This wine is, without doubt, one of the most popular we’ve ever seen at Vinomofo. How popular is popular, you ask? Well, thirsty Mofos took over 45,000 bottles of a previous vintage straight out of our hands. Yup. We know it’s a great wine deal but when our mofo members are this unanimous in their desire for this drop; well it’s simply cause for one big shiraz gluggin’ celebration. Full bodied and silky smooth with lashings of plums and earthy spice; if you’re quaffing this Frankland River gem on a week night, know you’re in good company alongside many a Mofo. With one fist in the air (and the other holding a glass of this wine) we salute you!

This is jam packed full of black and red fruit - currants and raspberries mix with bramble and plums. The earthy and greener notes chime in late, backing up that initial fruit with some savoury depth. Classic Coonawarra - completely delicious. Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine - and we're speaking from experience.

Juicy, polished Barossa Shiraz that hits the sweet spot between richness and drinkability. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser from first pour to last. A bright, modern Barossa expression that balances generosity with real polish. It opens with juicy plum, blackberry and a lift of sweet spice, then settles into a smooth, mouth-filling palate that still keeps some freshness in the tank. There’s enough Barossa richness to satisfy the big-red crowd, but it avoids heaviness thanks to clean fruit and smart, understated oak. The finish is silky, warming and seriously moreish. It’s the kind of Shiraz you pour for anyone and know they’ll be happy.

This is Barossa red royalty, no two ways about it. Made by one of the most famous, long-standing producers in the country, this wine comes from a house that helped shape modern Australian wine, and this classic red blend shows exactly why they’ve been at the top of their game for decades. It’s a classic Barossa blend done right: cabernet sauvignon (37%), shiraz (34%) and merlot (29%), sourced from carefully chosen vineyards across the valley floor. In the glass, it’s deep and dark with a purple glow. Cabernet leads from the front - leafy, cassis-driven and confident - while shiraz brings the spice and richness. Merlot smooths the edges with plush red fruit and a round, easy flow. The palate is generous and unmistakably cab-led, rolling out ripe red fruits, gentle oak, savoury spice and a long, polished finish that keeps things dangerously drinkable. Balanced, reliable and beautifully put together - exactly what you’d expect from a producer with decades of runs on the board.

This shiraz genuinely punches well above its weight - especially when you take into account the name on the label - delivering quality and complexity you'd expect from wines commanding significantly higher prices. It's got power, finesse and approachability, meaning you can geek out analysing all the layers or just pour generously and enjoy without overthinking. Vibrant, polished McLaren Vale shiraz crafted with estate-grown fruit sourced from two of this producer's most famous vineyards. 9 months in seasoned American (70%) and French (30%) oak brings a bit of grunt whilst retaining fruit purity. Ripe dark plum and spice aromas leading to a generous, structured palate - juicy black fruit, subtle peppery notes, a plush texture and fine supple tannins stretching to lingering finish. Store or pour - up to you - this one will be sitting pretty from now until 2030 at least!

“A robust Grange from a lauded vintage, this wields sheer power with such compelling prowess. Uncompromising Grange. There are rich blackberries and plums on offer, together with brazen oak and abundant notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, charcoal, cola and hard brown spices. So fleshy and intense. Dark-chocolate and cocoa-powder aromas and flavors here, too. The tannins are polished and long, extruding deep into the finish and holding endlessly. Dark chocolate, black cherry, dark plum and more. Impressive. Brazen. One of the great Granges that will drink magnificently for decades to come.” - James Suckling
“Deep colour. Beautiful and classic with intense blackberry, blackcurrant dark chocolate espresso aromas and wax polish, roasted chestnut, malt notes. “A much-awaited vintage that fulfils expectations and then some. It has all the elements that you come to expect but still you have to sit back and marvel that so much can be going on inside one wine. Firstly, it simply ain’t Grange unless it is wearing its traditional American oak coat, and this iteration isn’t going to shy away from that. But perhaps it is the generosity across the board of South Australia’s 2018 vintage that gathers in 18 months of barrel maturation, puts shape to its broad-shouldered dark fruits, turns oak notes into chocolate and sarsaparilla characters on one side of the brain and beef and mushroom braise in the other. All in all, it is a fabulous balance of inputs: big fruit, classically prominent oak, all its structural tannins and acidity fitting cleverly into one exceptionally complex and engaging being. From one of our favourite Barossa producers, who have brought us multiple 98 and 99 pointed drops before, comes this incredible special release shiraz that will continue to improve for the next 20 years. Careful maturation in specially selected highest-grade French oak, followed by barrel selection of the finest juice, has helped craft this unparalleled expression of the country's top grape/region combination. Compellingly complex, the nose shows rich, ripe plums and bramble fruit with black cherries. Supporting is an excellent intermingling of charcuterie, black olives, cocoa and liquorice. The palate is simultaneously refined and powerful, with beautifully ripe tannins and a clean line of acidity supporting an incredibly long finish. This is premium Barossa at it's absolute best.

There is no mistaking a St Hallett classic - when it comes to shiraz, and when it comes to Barossa, they don't muck about. The Sacred Ground is an old favourite among the 'big and bold' faithful, and this iteration is no departure from that well earned reputation. Rich, ripe, chocolate, earthy and opulent. Little hints of cedar and tobacco sit deftly around determined, full throttle fruit density. St Hallett at their best - unashamedly broad and imposing while remaining stylish, complex, and relinquishing no ground when it comes to sophistication.

A seriously powerful bottle of wine with other-worldly levels of deliciousness. This is one robust shiraz that can be enjoyed now and long into the future, so don't be afraid to hold on to a couple of bottles.
In the glass, the colour is a deep crimson red and there’s lifted aromas of plum, pepper, vanilla and dark chocolate. The palate is full and generous with dark fruits, interwoven spice and savoury tannins. With Angela Miranda at the helm of the winemaking, this is one well made wine. There's a good dose of American oak in the ageing regime on this, adding a touch of coconut and further vanilla to the wine. It’s ready to go with a big ole’ steak right now or will happily nap in your cellar for 15 years. This big boy is here for you now and in the future.
