1x d'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 2018

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

The Maestro

Impossible to overstate the excellence on offer here. This is superb stuff. There is so much complexity and depth to the wine, something new is ready to reveal itself at every sip. Cassis and black cherry out of the gate. Some riper, richer plums and brambles mix with roasted vegetables and sweet spice. It's powerful but never overbearing, full and rich but precise and focused - everything is as it should be. A wine with genuine presence on the palate. Oomph that doesn't veer into being unctuous. The structure of the wine will ensure it is long lived; while drinking brilliantly now, this is a wine with a conservative two decades left in the tank.

You'd pay $78 full price.

1x St Hallett Sacred Ground Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

There is no mistaking a St Hallet classic - when it comes to shiraz, and when it comes to Barossa, they don't muck about. The Sacred Ground is an old favourite among the 'big and bold' faithful, and this iteration is no departure from that well earned reputation. Rich, ripe, chocolate, earthy and opulent. Little flecks of cedar and tobacco sit deftly around determined, full throttle fruit density. St Hallet at their best - unashamedly broad and imposing while remaining stylish, complex, and relinquishing no ground when it comes to sophistication.

You'd pay $95 full price.

1x Yangarra Estate Vineyard Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

Yangarra Estate are undoubtedly a leading winery in Australia: number two in the Halliday Wine Companion Top Wineries of 2023. The wines, across the board, are brilliant - winemaker Peter Fraser has taken the winery to another level. In my opinion this shiraz represents the best quality to price ratio in the country. There is so much wine on offer: chocolate, raspberry, black cherry, cassis, earth, classic Vale blueberry and plum. A completely wonderful drinking experience.

You'd pay $38 full price.

1x Two Hands Gnarly Dudes Shiraz 2022

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

Big and imposing on the palate - it really fills the mouth with soft, velvety fruit that is ripe but well shy of jammy or stewed, instead its quite fresh and vibrant. This is rich and enduring shiraz that refuses to fade through the finish. Defiant and delightful, it is no wonder this is a wine that had made its mark on the Australian drinking landscape so thoroughly and so assuredly.

You'd pay $32 full price.

1x Mitolo Savitar Shiraz 2020

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

Wonderfully textured, the wine is built around a long mineral acidity which carries intensity through the palate. White pepper, cedar and elegant allspice notes linger throughout the lengthy, linear finish. Matured for 20 months in 85% new French, 5% New American and 10% Seasoned French Oak hogshead barrels - drink it now or dig a hole in your backyard and forget about it. You could age this one for 15 years if you wanted but we're willing to bet you won't be able to keep your hands off it for that long!

Frequently Asked Questions

These six wines represent the pinnacle of Australian Shiraz craftsmanship, each having shaped their respective regions and Australia's global wine reputation. From Penfolds' legendary winemaking heritage to d'Arenberg's innovative techniques and St Hallett's Barossa mastery, these producers have consistently pushed boundaries while honouring tradition. Their collective influence extends beyond individual bottles - they've defined what Australian wine means on the world stage, earning recognition from critics like James Suckling who included one in his Top 100 Wines of the World.

This ultra-limited release reflects the genuine scarcity and prestige of these iconic wines when assembled together. Each producer allocates only small quantities of their flagship wines, making this curated collection exceptionally rare. The one-per-customer limit ensures fair distribution among serious collectors and prevents hoarding, while the strict purchasing process (no cart reservations) maintains the exclusivity that these wines deserve and prevents speculation.

The vintage variation creates a fascinating journey through recent Australian wine history, showcasing how different seasons express themselves across iconic sites. The 2018 wines (Penfolds St Henri and d'Arenberg Dead Arm) offer more developed complexity with integrated tannins, while the 2021-2022 releases provide vibrant fruit intensity and structural backbone for long-term cellaring. This vintage spread allows you to experience both the immediate pleasure of younger wines and the sophisticated evolution that comes with bottle age.

While all are Shiraz, each wine offers distinct regional and winemaking signatures that showcase Australia's diverse terroir. Expect a spectrum from rich blackberry and mulberry fruit to complex savoury notes of pencil shavings, cedar, and tobacco. The collection spans from McLaren Vale's chocolate richness to Barossa's spice-driven intensity, with some wines showing elegant restraint while others display powerful concentration - creating a masterclass in how site, vintage, and winemaker philosophy shape Shiraz expression.

These full-bodied Shiraz wines are crafted for both immediate enjoyment and long-term cellaring, though each has its optimal drinking window. The 2018 vintages are entering their prime drinking phase, offering beautiful integration of fruit, oak, and tannins, while the 2020-2022 wines have decades of cellaring potential ahead. The beauty of this collection lies in its flexibility - you can open one tonight for special occasions while laying down others for future milestones, creating a personal wine journey that spans years.
