Why do we love this case?
Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to figuring out whether we prefer gris or grigio. And you know what, we're happy sitting on the fence. In this case, you'll get to explore the wonders of both styles. It’s pretty much the best way to get around the grape.
2x Sorby Adams HandCrafted Pinot Gris 2026
White — Pinot Gris
South Australia — Australia
This is Pinot Gris the Sorby Adams way - hands-on, heartfelt and handcrafted from vine to bottle. Grown in a single-vineyard, where the McPherson family’s been tending vines for four generations, it’s a wine that celebrates site and skill in equal measure. Sorby Adams is one whose reds we have adored, and as we dabble into some whites we're continually astounded by how good these wines are. Having been head winemaker at Yalumba for 20 years, Simon certainly knows how to make top quality vino. This single-vineyard pinot gris is equally powerful and restrained. Showing layered notes of ripe pear, apple pie, and baking spices in a nuanced textural package, this pinot gris is perhaps one of the best we've ever offered in value and quality.

2x Nova Vita Wines Firebird Pinot Gris 2024
White — Pinot Gris
Adelaide Hills — Australia
This gorgeous Gris comes off a single vineyard, split across two separate blocks, and the extra time spent on skins and lees is exactly why you get that gorgeous deep straw colour and almost unrivalled texture. Some producers buy in fruit and call it a day. This lot grows every grape themselves, picks it themselves, then hand-crushes each one back at the winery - a level of control that borders on obsessive, but it means nothing gets left to chance between vine and glass. The palate is broad and textural, pear, quince and ripe pear all doing their thing, with a firm line of acidity keeping it from getting too soft. Give it a bit of time in the glass and it just keeps opening up, revealing more complexity the longer you sit with it. Drink it over the next couple of years, or push it to four if you've got the patience - either way, this is Pinot Gris with actual substance behind it.

2x Common Ground Pinot Gris 2025
White — Pinot Gris
South Australia — Australia
Out the gates with ripe pear, crunchy apple and a squeeze of citrus on the nose. The first sip is generous without being over the top - nashi pear, white melon maybe a touch of grapefruit rolling across the palate with a soft, rounded feel. It’s got that classic gris weight and texture, but it keeps itself in check. There’s freshness humming underneath, so it finishes clean and makes you want another glass rather than a lie down. It’s bright, it’s flavoursome, and it works just as well solo on the couch as it does next to a bowl of pasta, a roast chook or a spread of cheeses. Fun, balanced, and dangerously easy to like - exactly what good pinot gris should be.

2x Credaro Five Tales Pinot Grigio 2025
White — Pinot Grigio
Margaret River — Australia
From internationally renowned producer, Credaro, this bright and vivacious grigio is more than just a welcome guest at the party, it IS the party. Hot days and warm nights for call for good company, good food and a good bottle of grigio. A natural citrus-like acidity creates a launching point for a swirl of green fruits (think fresh apple and crunchy pear) and zesty minerality. Classically grigio in every way but extremely modern in its vibrancy and youthful flare. An extremely versatile wine that, as we said, is best enjoyed with friends and family, out of an esky, looking at a sunset but if we're being honest, it also works great at home and after sun-down. In the words of the immortal Shakira, "Wherever, whenever".

2x Angove Family Winemakers Classic Pinot Grigio 2025
White — Pinot Grigio
South Australia — Australia
Crisp, easy-drinking and built for exactly those moments where you can't be bothered overthinking your glass too much - pear, citrus and a clean, refreshing finish that goes with pretty much anything you put next to it. Reliable quality from a name that's earned the right to call its wines classic. Simple as that. This Pinot Grigio comes from Angove - one of the most recognisable family names in Australian wine, generations deep in the business of doing this properly. When a producer's been at it that long, you tend to trust what ends up in the bottle. And what ends up in the bottle is perfect for practice, zippy, refreshing and versatile. You can't go wrong here.

2x Ponte Villoni Pinot Grigio 2025
White — Pinot Grigio
Italy — Italy
This is Italian Pinot Grigio from start to finish. No mistaking it. From the upfront apple and pear on the nose, to the outrageous vibrancy, right down to the touch of salinity running through the palate. Drink cold, drink with fish, drink with mates - molto bueno. The Pinot Grigio's coming out of the greater Venice region have been absolutely spell-bind of late. And this little party-starter is certainly no exception. You simply cannot go wrong here. This thing does exactly what it says on the label. 'He who is sick of Venetian Grigio is sick of life'... we're sure that sounds better in Italian.
