With musky aromatics, juicy apples and ripe pear tones bolstered by generous and balanced spice and a powerful body to boot, this really is Kiwi pinot gris in a nutshell. This ‘drink now’ style is certainly showing its best while young and (we think) paired with Moules Marinieres (that’s French for creamy, garlicky mussels) and hunks of oven toasted breadstick. A bright, snappy gris. Fresh and lifted stone fruit aromatics leap out of the glass. The palate is quite soft and supple; apricot cream and lemon pith. There's a little bit of rocky minerality on offer, too. This is classic, generous pinot gris that remains true to style. An extremely versatile wine – it'll be just as comfortable next to a seafood feast as it will with a mid-week pizza on the couch.
