Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to figuring out whether we prefer gris or grigio. This pinot gris is all about great winemaking. It’s an idea that seems rather obvious, doesn’t it? We’re not just talking about standard, good, everyday wine here. No no. This is an outstanding drop from Dan Berrigan, one of our favourite winemakers on the scene. These wines are fun, playful, energetic and geared for drinking on every occasion (no, apparently, a glass of gris with breakfast on a Tuesday doesn’t regularly fall into that category). But hey, you try and keep your hands off!

Central Victoria — Australia
Steely and precise pinot grigio thats light bodied, aromatic, and offers up high-tone citrus fruits. Its lively and vibrant in the mouth; a certifiable fiesta of flavour and energy. Some tropical notes sit neatly framed by steely acid structure. There's quite a bit going on for what is broadly (and, in my opinion, often incorrectly) considered a 'fun in the sun' varietal. Excellent grigio - drinking beautifully but don't be afraid to lay a bottle or two down.

Italy’s leading grape varieties have an established home in the King Valley, including the ever-popular pinot grigio. This example of the grape is bright with citrus and pear on the nose and freshness from the nose to the palate with a crisp, mineral finish. When given more time to develop in the glass, the wine shares a greater depth to its expression. Ripe red apple, nashi pear, and hints of sherbet on the nose. From a weekend BBQ to a plate of spaghetti marinara over candlelight, it’s a flexible food wine that is sure to please.
