2x Aramis White Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
McLaren Vale — Australia
Here's something worth knowing about Aramis. Their vineyard sits just 2km from the Gulf St Vincent - prime McLaren Vale real estate - and some of the region's most prestigious names are secretely lining up for their fruit. Instead of handing it all over, Aramis hold back the best parcels for themselves. Smart move. This cabernet is showing us exactly why. Elegant and structured in that classic warm-climate cab way - dark berry fruit, blueberry and bramble upfront, with dried herbs, sage, a whisper of churned earth and cedary oak adding savoury complexity underneath. The tannins are fine and focused, the finish long and satisfying, with that lovely minty cool-climate edge that McLaren Vale Cab does so well. Drink it over the next six to eight years, or crack it tonight. Either way you're onto a good thing.
You’d pay $35 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This is jam packed full of black and red fruit - currants and raspberries mix with bramble and plums. The earthy and greener notes chime in late, backing up that initial fruit with some savoury depth. Classic Coonawarra - completely delicious. Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine - and we're speaking from experience.

2x Hither & Yon Old Jarvie 'The Saviour' Grenache Blend 2020
Red — Grenache Blend
McLaren Vale — Australia
No gimmicks, no fluff. Just seriously tasty wine with personality. This savvy little blend (grenache, mataro and touriga) the aromatics burst out of the glass with red florals, rhubarb and a flick of menthol freshness. It’s inviting straight away. On the palate, it’s dark berries, black and red cherry, toasted spice and a hint of roasted nuts. There’s a wild herb twist weaving through the fruit, giving it that Iberian vibe without losing its McLaren Vale generosity. Medium-bodied, bright and energetic, it’s structured but not stiff - the kind of wine that’s clearly well made but still knows how to have a good time. Chuck it next to baked snapper with romesco, grilled meats, or anything smoky and Mediterranean and you’re set. Cool producer. Clever blend. Super delicious.
You’d pay $30 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Geddes Seldom Inn Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
McLaren Vale shiraz with a red fruit twist - and honestly, it's a welcome change of pace.
Where a lot of Vale shiraz goes dark and brooding, this one leads with energetic bright fruit and gorgeously notable spice. Full-bodied, but light on its feet. Delicious. It comes out the gate with bright maraschino cherry, Damson plum, black pepper and a lifted sage note that keeps things fresh and aromatic. It's vibrant and expressive right from the first pour. Underneath that brightness there's real substance. Fruit sourced from three distinct sites - ironstone, limestone and 75-year-old bush vines that bring the kind of depth you simply can't manufacture - then 24 months in 40% new French oak that adds a gorgeous savoury complexity without overwhelming the fruit. The tannins land soft and velvety, the finish is long and composed. Bright on the surface. Serious underneath. Very easy to drink either way.
You’d pay $28 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Random Shot Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Padthaway — Australia
From a little-known corner of South Australia (completely covered in ex-Grange vineyards) comes this exceptional value shiraz. It’s absolutely jam-packed with stewed fruit, chocolate and liquorice. Ripe and delicious flavour that packs a real punch is carried on the back of bright acidity, lifting blackberries, bramble, black cherry and prosciutto notes alike to a long and delectable finish. This has to be up there in terms of best value buys. Whether you’re shopping for a pantry-stocking quaffer or something to share with the family over Sunday lunch, this is a great value contender with a foot in both camps.

2x Peter Lehmann Layers Red 2021
Red — Shiraz Blend
Barossa — Australia
This bombshell Barossa blend comes from a producer so iconic we’re shocked they even had any stock for us - and trust us, that alone should get your heart rate up. A cheeky, yet well thought out shiraz blend, this one's all about bold flavours and a silky-smooth texture. Great stuff. In the glass it pops a vibrant crimson - extremely bright and alive. From the first sniff, you start picking up dark cherry, spice and a little something savoury that tells you this isn’t your average mid-week red. Shiraz brings the power and depth, tempranillo locks in that firm, savoury edge, and mourvèdre throws in its trademark wild, earthy charm. Then grenache swoops in like the glue that holds the whole thing together, smoothing the palate and lifting the aromatics. The end result is a silky, seamless blend with real Barossa muscle but none of the sluggishness. Plush fruit, spice, texture and length for days.
You’d pay $20 full price.
