2x Vintage Longbottom 'H' Single Vineyard Grenache 2021
Red — Grenache
McLaren Vale — Australia
A mother and daughter winemaking duo, this lot are, in their own words, "Handcrafting wines from the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale, celebrating the regions in which they are grown, and the passing of the seasons in which they are made". It's a super simple philosophy, celebrate the conditions, the climate and the regions from which the wines are created. But don't get it wrong, this is not a simply achieved philosophy and this wine is not a simple wine, cedary, spicy oak, red cherries, raspberries and beautifully vibrant acid. A really smart wine (especially for this price), if we were going to give you little tip - chuck this in the fridge for 30 mins before consumption on a hot day and you. are. laughing.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Watkins Cellar Reserve Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

This producer might be a new name to some, but their time in the industry goes way back. As evidenced by this cellar selection, they’ve honed the art of crafting wines that stand the test of time. This is an all-family affair, with the new generation stepping in to take the reigns. They’re finally releasing some beauties from their back vintages, and we were quick to jump in and bring our mofos that aged goodness. Cabernet off their currency creek vineyards gave this wine the confidence to see it through the last 6 years, with more still to come. This is the kind of wine that greets you like an old friend. 2x Gapsted Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
King Valley — Australia
Here we go again with another delicious drop from one of the most consistently consistent producers we work with. Everything in balance and such a nice drink. Fruit in the blackberry and plum spectrum, underlying spice and earthiness, a bit of drying tannin. One of those ‘don’t overthink it’ kinda wines, straight up tasty, enjoyable and ready to roll. Good thing you’ll have another bottle of the same ready to go as you’ll want to come back for more.
You’d pay $31 full price.

2x Thistledown Wild & Wilder The Opportunist Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Langhorne Creek — Australia
A very smart little wine that is at once knock-about and complex. A medley of cherries and blackcurrants accompanied by hints of freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate, peppermint, liquorice, and subtle pepper aromas. It boasts a dense, velvety texture, offering a well-balanced fruit profile.
You’d pay $22 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Random Shot Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Padthaway — Australia
From a little-known corner of South Australia (completely covered in ex-Grange vineyards) comes this exceptional value shiraz. It’s absolutely jam-packed with stewed fruit, chocolate and liquorice. Ripe and delicious flavour that packs a real punch is carried on the back of bright acidity, lifting blackberries, bramble, black cherry and prosciutto notes alike to a long and delectable finish. This has to be up there in terms of best value buys. Whether you’re shopping for a pantry-stocking quaffer or something to share with the family over Sunday lunch, this is a great value contender with a foot in both camps.
You’d pay $22 full price.

2x Terra Vino Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Langhorne Creek — Australia
Deep purple and deeply delicious. This Langhorne Creek shiraz brings all the fruit and then some; dark berries, black cherries, floral spice and a lick of chocolate leap from the glass. On the palate, it’s plush and powerful, with that fruit that carries all the way through to a long, seamless finish. Balanced and bold, this is the kind of wine that just works - particularly with Italian food (thank us later).
You’d pay $20 full price.
