2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Red — Cabernet Sauvignon

Coonawarra — Australia

Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine- and we're speaking from experience.

You'd pay $35 full price.

2x Million Suns Grenache 2021

Red — Grenache

South Australia — Australia

This producer has 2 goals. Creating jaw-dropping wines, and, in their words, "producing wines that make a deposit to the bank of Mother Nature rather than just a withdrawal". Well, we can say one thing for certain, they've definitely created a jaw-dropping wine here. Wine Orbit described this wine as, "splendidly ripe and inviting". Inviting is definitely the word... Medium-bodied yet full-flavoured, this is a rich, juicy wine with super-fine tannins and a whirlwind of deep red and blue fruit and vibrant raspberry-like acidity. There's something for everyone here, versatile and vivacious, you could even chuck this one in the fridge for half an hour on a hot day... thank us later!

You'd pay $20 full price.

2x Woodvale Sharegarden Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

Barossa. — Australia

Clare Valley shiraz is in a class of its own. It benefits from the ballsy, rich-fruited, adrenaline-pumping charms of South Australia, but retains a bright flash of refreshing acidity thanks to the higher altitude. The resultant wine is fruit-forward and plush, but lighter and brighter and full of herbaceous crunch. There’s something for everyone, then, and a full spectrum of flavour. From tangy blueberries and softly scented raspberries, to summery black cherry and juicy plums. It’s tied together by a gentle peppering of tannin and a gentle kiss of oak. How good!?!

You'd pay $25 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

This collection brings together premium wines from boutique producers at a fraction of their usual retail price. The pack includes established names like Hollick alongside emerging producers like Million Suns, spanning different regions and vintages from 2018-2022. With ratings up to 94 points from Wine Orbit and sustainable certifications, you're getting cellar-worthy wines that would typically cost much more individually.

The pack offers a fascinating flavour journey from rich blackcurrant and leather notes in the Cabernet Sauvignons to bright cherry and rhubarb characteristics in the Grenache. The Shiraz selections provide everything from eucalyptus and allspice complexity to redcurrant freshness. This diversity makes it perfect for exploring how different varietals and regions express themselves, essentially giving you a masterclass in Australian red wine styles.

Most of these wines are drinking beautifully now, particularly the 2020-2022 vintages which are in their prime fruit-driven phase. However, the Cabernet Sauvignons, especially the 2018 Watkins Cellar Reserve, have the structure to develop further complexity over the next 3-5 years. The varied vintage range means you can enjoy some immediately while allowing others to evolve, making this pack ideal for both instant gratification and patient collectors.

The Cabernet Sauvignons pair magnificently with red meat dishes - think grilled steaks or slow-cooked lamb where their tannins and blackcurrant notes complement rich proteins. The Grenache's bright cherry character makes it excellent with duck or pork, while the diverse Shiraz styles work with everything from barbecued sausages to aged cheeses. The variety ensures you'll have the perfect wine for any dinner party or casual meal.

This collection showcases the diversity of Australian winemaking, featuring established regions like Coonawarra (Hollick) and Langhorne Creek (Watkins) alongside boutique producers from various premium areas. Several wines come from certified sustainable vineyards and women-owned wineries, reflecting the modern Australian wine scene's commitment to environmental responsibility and diversity. The mix of heritage producers and innovative newcomers provides insight into both traditional and contemporary Australian winemaking approaches.
