Why do we love this case?

No matter what style you prefer, good chardonnay always has that air of something special about it. We’ve got a range of regions, styles and vintages covered. Happy exploring!

Included in this case:

1x Palliser Estate White Label Chardonnay 2021

White — Chardonnay

Martinborough — New Zealand

This is a wine that strikes the balance of rich and creamy with cheesy and savoury perfectly - it walks a fine line, perfectly poised with a foot in each camp. There's a tight, ripping acid line that runs the centre of the palate, give freshness and zeal to what is quite a rich flavour profile, all told. This is an excellent wine befitting of the producers reputation for producing high quality chardy.

You’d pay $45 full price.

1x Middle Earth Wines Chardonnay 2020

White — Chardonnay

Nelson — New Zealand

All the way over at New Zealand’s Middle Earth, we find an incredible and sustainable winery creating chardonnay with as much love and attention as their famous pinot noirs. Grilled chestnuts lead the aromas, with other characters like almond, hazelnut and buttered toast. The fruit flavours deliver like freshly squeezed juice from your local hawker. From Nelson, the sunniest region in NZ - chardonnay made in this rich, quality style, is also super fresh. Great wines over here - we just love Middle Earth!

You’d pay $45 full price.

1x Wood Park Chardonnay 2023

White — Chardonnay

King Valley — Australia

Cool climate King Valley fruit on show here; bristling and bright with varietal richness. The French oak gives the wine lovely shape and acid gives it length and drive. There is some ripe tropical influence offering another layer of fruit complexity through the fantail finish. A broadly appealing, delicious iteration of King Valley chardy.

You’d pay $35 full price.

1x Driftwood Estate Artifacts Chardonnay 2023

White — Chardonnay

Margaret River — Australia

Big, broad citrus flavours lead the fruit profile with some ripe red apple, nectarine, and tropical melon flavours following tightly behind. The oak profile is steeped in vanilla bean and sweet spice, and in classic Margs style its present but never over-bearing. A bit of wafty sea breeze (is that the Indian Ocean we’re picking up?) coupled with a steely minerality that chimes in on the finish. While this is a new wine to us, the producer is an absolute Mofo fave.

You’d pay $45 full price.

1x Penny's Hill 'The Minimalist' Chardonnay 2021

White — Chardonnay

Adelaide Hills — Australia

This single site chardonnay from high in the Adelaide Hills has had “the works” treatment, with handpicking, natural yeast, barrel fermentation, a third new oak… and did we mention this was a very, very good vintage. Richer than you might expect, it has one foot in the ‘fine’ camp and the other one in ‘rich’. Spice from the oak runs through it, but the fruit drives it from start to finish.

You’d pay $35 full price.

1x Sorby Adams Handcrafted Chardonnay 2022

White — Chardonnay

Adelaide — Australia

Sorby Adams is a producer whose reds we have adored, and as we dabble into some whites we're continually astounded by how good his wines are. Having been head winemaker at Yalumba for 20 years, he certainly know how to make top quality vino. This chardy is genuinely unbelievable value for money: texturally it flows on the palate like a plush peach. Time on lees has meant that it has a yoghurty, creamy consistency and the finish is ever so delightful. I'm really damn excited about this wine, and I reckon you will be too mofo.

You’d pay $30 full price.
