Why do we love this case?
We can’t get enough of the King of Grapes. From bright and elegantly textured to piledriver power and raucously rich, this amazing selection is equally capable of brilliance in a blend or all on its own. This pack offers you a selection of six cabernets, there’s something unique about each one and each offers its own journey of discovery. Bow down to the King!
2x Boat O'Craigo Braveheart Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Yarra Valley — Australia
This Cabernet comes off one of the highest sites in the Yarra Valley - an extinct volcano, believe it or not, with rare (magic) soil and enough sunshine to make cool-climate Cabernet sing like a nightingale. And gee whiz this one is absolutely singing now! Three separate blocks go into this one, hand-picked, whole-berry fermented and plunged twice a day for the better part of a month, before landing in a mix of new and seasoned French oak. Blackberry, cherry, tobacco, cedar and spice, all held together by proper structured tannin.Volcanic soil, cool-climate precision, medium-bodied and genuinely interesting. Turns out a little bit of lava makes surprisingly good Cabernet.

2x Penley Estate Black Bull Cabernet Sauvignon 2025
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Get ready to grab the Bull by the horns! Forgive the pun but this wine really is a mouth full. Punchy fruit, pretty aromatics and a backbone of well-integrated oak and regionally specific minty notes. An extremely versatile wine with the ability to cater to all occasions and will go the distance in the cellar. Guess who’s back and ready to go? One of our favourite Coonawarra producers, Penley Estate, has done the hard work to bring back this Mofo favourite. Aptly named, this robust cabernet packs a punch with strong, flavourful and classic Coonawarra characteristics we’ve all come to love and enjoy. Dark fruits of the black forest abound and surround the recogniseable cedary, minty core; while framed with superb mineral tannins that allow for youthful drinking while still earning a nook in your cellar over the next 10+ years.

2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This is jam packed full of black and red fruit - currants and raspberries mix with bramble and plums. The earthy and greener notes chime in late, backing up that initial fruit with some savoury depth. Classic Coonawarra - completely delicious. Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine - and we're speaking from experience.

2x Vandenberg Ari Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
2022 was a genuinely great year in Coonawarra, and this 96 point Cabernet's all the proof we need - an absolutely classic regional expression. Powerful, silky, concentrated and, most importantly, utterly delicious. You can't go wrong here, great stuff. Blackcurrant, cassis and ripe plum open proceedings, layered with cedar, tobacco and dark chocolate, plus a touch of mint and bay leaf doing the regional signature thing. Full-bodied and concentrated, with fine tannins and oak that knows its place, finishing up with liquorice, graphite and a savoury spice hit that just keeps going forever.

This is a real 'set-and-forget' type operator. A problem solver. A 'Mr Fix-it'. When you feel like a Cabernet, reach for this. Thirsty? This. Hungry? This. Tired? This. Bold, smooth, varietal and lively, this covers every conceivable base. This is a super varietal wine - everything about this screams cabernet sauvignon. Deep, pure fruit, both black and red, herbaceous and gorgeously interwoven with spicy oak characters. This is an absolute cracker, every day of the week. 2x Reschke R-Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Limestone Coast — Australia
The Limestone Coast has a knack for turning out cabernet with polish, Coonawarra is a sub-region here after all. From an excellent vintage, this gorgeous release is vibrant, fruit-driven, and packed with purity - a cabernet that proves elegance doesn’t mean lacking flavour. A medium-to-full-bodied cabernet loaded with red currant, cherry, and a hint of dark chocolate. Smooth, elegant, and ready to drink now - with a decade of life ahead. The palate is round and plush, carrying those berry flavours on fine, silky tannins. Oak plays a subtle, but important, supporting role, neatly integrated and never overdone. It’s a stylish cabernet, and it's drinking beautifully right now, but if you’re patient, it’ll keep evolving over the next ten years or so. Whether you’re cracking it midweek or stashing a few for the cellar, this one nails that balance of immediate enjoyment and future reward.
