2x Reschke Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This family winery have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. They are Coonawarra experts and the jewel in their crown is, of course, cabernet sauvignon. Their wines consistently score highly with critics and this 2020 cellar release is a showcase of a deep understanding of the land and masterstroke winemaking.
The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.

2x Merite The Caves Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Wrattonbully — Australia
If you're a fan of Coonawarra cabernet in the slightest, you're going to absolutely love this wine. This was built to honour the climate and terroir of one of Australia's most-highly-rated cabernet regions – Wrattonbully (riiiight next to Coonawarra). Be warned: This is not for the faint of heart... Specifically crafted to showcase the 'Cavelands' sub-region with its layers of Terra Rossa soils, limestone caves, pristine waters and maritime climate that makes this place so bloody special. Big, bold, full-bodied and loaded with dark fruits and the expected 'green' notes that make this variety what it is. This is an intense, fruit-driven beast with abundant juicy fruit flavours and a rich palate that doesn't mess around. All of this frivolity is kept in check by a classic cabernet structure, beautiful acid, fantastic tannin and that minty, eaucalypty goodness that us cab lovers crave so much!
You’d pay $45 full price.

2x Metricup Hills Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Margaret River — Australia
From what Vinomofo Wine Buyer (and 30-year Margaret River wine-veteran) Matt, described as "The most underrated producer in Margaret River", we have a brilliant example of the regions champion red wine varietal - cabernet sauvignon. This is as regional as it is varietal - medium-to-full bodied, with drying, albeit silky tannin and a dark, brooding fruit profile. This might be the easiest wine in our arsenal to blind taste, and that's a MASSIVE compliment. Simply gorgeous.

2x Watkins Cellar Reserve Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Langhorne Creek — Australia
This producer might be a new name to some, but their time in the industry goes way back. As evidenced by this cellar selection, they’ve honed the art of crafting wines that stand the test of time. This is an all-family affair, with the new generation stepping in to take the reigns. They’re finally releasing some beauties from their back vintages, and we were quick to jump in and bring our mofos that aged goodness. Cabernet off their currency creek vineyards gave this wine the confidence to see it through the last 6 years, with more still to come. This is the kind of wine that greets you like an old friend. Instantly familiar and merry, sure to entertain you for hours.

2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This is jam packed full of black and red fruit - currants and raspberries mix with bramble and plums. The earthy and greener notes chime in late, backing up that initial fruit with some savoury depth. Classic Coonawarra - completely delicious. Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine - and we're speaking from experience.
You’d pay $35 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Peter Lehmann Clancy's Cabernet Blend 2022
Red — Cabernet Blend
Barossa — Australia
This is Barossa red royalty, no two ways about it. Made by one of the most famous, long-standing producers in the country, this wine comes from a house that helped shape modern Australian wine, and this classic red blend shows exactly why they’ve been at the top of their game for decades. It’s a classic Barossa blend done right: cabernet sauvignon (37%), shiraz (34%) and merlot (29%), sourced from carefully chosen vineyards across the valley floor. In the glass, it’s deep and dark with a purple glow. Cabernet leads from the front - leafy, cassis-driven and confident - while shiraz brings the spice and richness. Merlot smooths the edges with plush red fruit and a round, easy flow. The palate is generous and unmistakably cab-led, rolling out ripe red fruits, gentle oak, savoury spice and a long, polished finish that keeps things dangerously drinkable. Balanced, reliable and beautifully put together - exactly what you’d expect from a producer with decades of runs on the board.
You’d pay $20 full price.
